Married at First Sight Chapter 1654

Chapter 1654
“Seren, I just found out I’m pregnant, and I won’t be giving birth for another eight to nine months. The thought of being treated like a pig by Josh is giving me a headache.”
Seren smiled and replied, “You’re taking things for granted.”
Jasmine retorted, “I’ll remind you of this one day.”
Serenity returned, holding Sonny’s hand. After Sonny greeted Jasmine, he climbed up onto a chair and sat down.
Jasmine reached out to touch Sonny’s face. “Even though I’m pregnant, I have to follow strict guidelines. I don’t have any freedom. But if I can give birth to a cute baby like Sonny, it will all be worth it.”
“Isn’t it a baby boy in your belly, Jazz?” Sonny asked innocently.
Upon hearing this, Jasmine exchanged glances with Serenity before responding to Sonny, “Sonny, isn’t it a baby girl in my tummy?”
Jasmine was hoping for a daughter.
Sonny’s big eyes sparkled as he replied, “I don’t know.”
The question had slipped out of Sonny’s mouth instinctively.
“Since I just got pregnant, it’s still unknown whether the baby is a boy or a girl.” Knowing Jasmine’s desire for a girl, Serenity chuckled and added, “It could be a daughter or even fraternal twins like Jane’s.”
“I admire Jane. I wish I could have both a boy and a girl too. Unfortunately, when I went for my check-up, I found out I only have one gestational sac.”
Serenity said, “So I can only give birth one at a time. Iris has already given birth, but she did so later than Jane. Iris’s child should have been older than Jane’s. However, Jane was pregnant with twins, and her babies were born earlier than expected, which means Iris’s son ended up being younger than Jane’s.”
“Iris has given birth too? A son, huh?”
Jasmine was only aware that Jane had given birth.
Serenity confirmed with a hum.

acknowledged the situation. Dr. Carden was about to give birth soon.

Callum learned that Dr. Carden had returned to Annenburg, now living there as the wife of the Johnson family’s fourth young master. He promptly requested a few days off from Zachary, eager to travel to Annenburg and have Dr. Carden treat Camryn’s eyes.

Serenity pointed out that Zachary would not be able to dissuade Callum. With Dr. Carden heavily pregnant, it would be unreasonable for the Johnson family to permit her to fly to Wiltspoon to treat Camryn. Even if Callum brought Camryn to FC Manor, Dr. Carden likely wouldn’t have the energy to provide treatment.

Callum realized that even if he went to Annenburg now, he wouldn’t be able to convince Dr. Carden to work. His plan was to plead with her first. If she agreed to treat Camryn, he was willing to wait. If she declined, he was prepared to approach her multiple times.

Regardless of how high Dr. Carden’s fees or requirements were, he would do everything he could to meet them.

“Seren, you’re attending the charity gala tonight, right? Unfortunately, I can only hear about it since I can’t go. Had I known that pregnancy would take away my freedom, I would have tried to avoid it. I got pregnant so soon after getting married; I wanted to enjoy more romantic moments with my husband.”

Jasmine had once disliked attending parties, but now she craved the excitement. Unfortunately, to leave the house, she had to plead with Josh using both persuasive and soft tactics to gain his permission. He even arranged for several bodyguards to accompany her.

Those bodyguards were now lined up outside.

Jasmine understood why Serenity disliked being followed by the bodyguards assigned by Zachary; it felt as if she were being constantly monitored.

Serenity chuckled. She…

Zachary recalled his visit to the Buchams’ house to pick her up. He mentioned that Jasmine became pregnant shortly after marrying Josh, which meant they had lost their freedom. Additionally, the couple could no longer relish their romantic moments. Zachary expressed that he admired nothing about Josh. In response, Serenity asserted that Zachary was simply jealous.
