Married at First Sight Chapter 1649

Chapter 1649
Andrew looked at Elisa, who was quite different from the rumors he had heard about her. Not wanting to linger any longer, he stood up to take his leave. “Zack, Serenity, I’m heading out now.”
“Why not stay for a little while? You can leave after dinner,” Serenity suggested, trying to persuade him to stay.
Andrew chuckled and replied, “I usually skip dinner. After eating, I have to spend a long time working out to keep in shape. Serenity, I’m single, so my appearance is important.”
Serenity smiled. “You’re just like your cousin. He also avoids dinner to maintain his figure.”
Since Andrew was determined to leave, Serenity stopped her attempts to convince him and asked Zachary to walk his cousin out.
“Seren, could you lend me your car so I don’t have to stay here overnight?” Andrew asked.
When Elisa arrived at Serenity’s house, she impulsively wanted to stay instead of returning home. However, she thought it would be wiser to borrow a car and spend a few days at her own place, not wanting to be a third wheel.
“Just stay here for one night,” Serenity urged.
“No way. Zachary seems fine with it, but he’ll be grumpy if I actually stay the night,” Elisa replied.
Zachary was known to be possessive.
Elisa felt it was best not to upset him.
“If he dares to sulk, I’ll make him sleep in the study,” Serenity joked.
Elisa laughed before responding, “I’d better leave, then. If he ends up sleeping in the study because of me, I’m worried he’ll always be grumpy around me.”
Serenity giggled, fully aware of her husband’s domineering nature.
She generously took out some car keys and placed them in front of Elisa. “These are the cars we have in the garage. Feel free to choose any one of them.”
Elisa casually picked up a car key and remarked, “Any car will do. I’m not picky.”
After seeing his cousin off, Zachary returned and overheard her words. Deep down, he felt discontent. All the vehicles in the garage were luxury cars.
Elisa was certainly not picky.
If the garage had contained tractors instead, she would have been very particular.
Elisa departed soon after.
Once she left, Zachary went upstairs, embracing his beloved wife. As they entered their room, Serenity asked him, “What did Andrew say when Elisa was here? He made an excuse to leave as soon as she arrived.”
“Not much. Andrew and Elisa recognized Mrs. Stone’s schemes. He left only because he felt embarrassed.”
Zachary sat on the bed with Serenity in his arms and couldn’t resist leaning in to kiss her within moments.
Serenity pushed him away. “You need to take a bath. You haven’t cleaned up. If you don’t shower on such a hot day, you can’t sleep in my bed.”
“It may be hot outside, but it’s cool in here.”
Zachary kissed her possessively before releasing her.
“Mrs. Stone created a love rival for Remy to complicate things for him.”
Serenity sat up. “Remy has done everything he can, yet Aunt Audrey is still unhappy. Remy and Elisa are well-matched and have feelings for each other. Unfortunately, Aunt Audrey is determined to oppose their relationship. Elisa fought back, only to be thrown out of the car by Aunt Audrey.”
Zachary held her waist. “Let’s just observe the situation without getting involved.”
“I understand. When they come to confide in me, I’ll just listen without interfering. I’ll be a bystander.”
The unfolding drama was far from over.
“Hurry up and take a

“bath.”
