Married at First Sight Chapter 1633

Chapter 1633
“Mm, you two can decide. Let me know if there’s anything I can assist with,” Jasmine remarked, feeling that her contribution had primarily been financial.
She felt a sense of regret.
Serenity and Elisa responded in unison, “You should just focus on taking care of the baby.”
Jasmine replied, “I can still work while pregnant. Many women continue working until closer to their due dates when they take maternity leave.”
“That’s what others do, but you’re different. You should stay home and be a national treasure,” Serenity smiled, adding, “With how anxious Mr. Bucham is, he probably wouldn’t let you visit the store anyway.”
Jasmine was at a loss for words.
After the three women chatted for a while, Josh knocked on the door.
He entered the room carrying a tray with a drink on it— a nutrient supplement for Jasmine.
“Serenity, Zachary is here to pick you up. He’s waiting downstairs,” Josh informed Serenity as he approached her.
He placed the drink on the bedside table and said to Elisa, “Ms. Stone, Mr. Johnson is here to take you out for a meal.”
It was only then that the women realized the sun had set.
“Take care, Jasmine. We’ll visit you again soon,” Serenity said. Upon learning their partners had arrived, both women hastened to leave.
Once they had departed, Josh turned to Jasmine and said, “Dear, Mom made this drink just for you. It’s cooled down, so you can have it now and eat dinner in half an hour.”
Jasmine replied, “I’m not hungry yet.”
“Did you have any desserts?”
“No. I think I’ve lost my taste for sweets.”
Though Jasmine claimed she wasn’t hungry, she still…

She took the drink that her mother-in-law had prepared for her, knowing she needed to show respect by finishing it.

“What do you like to eat? I’ll buy it for you,” Josh offered, aware that a woman’s cravings often change during pregnancy.

“I’m craving raw mangoes, peeled, cut into cubes, and sprinkled with paprika and tangerine peel powder,” she replied.

“I’ll have someone go out and get that for you later,” Josh said, determined to satisfy any of Jasmine’s desires as long as it was something she could eat.

He sat by the bedside, and after Jasmine finished her supplement and set the cup down, he reached out to touch her lower abdomen. A wide smile spread across his handsome face as he said, “Baby, your mom had a supplement drink. You should drink up too and grow quickly.”

“I just got pregnant. The embryo hasn’t even developed into a fetus and can’t drink anything. Do you think it’s like a balloon that expands when you blow into it?” she replied.

Josh chuckled, “Nine months of pregnancy feels long. It’s June now, so based on the timeline, the baby will only be born next spring.”

He pulled Jasmine into his embrace, beaming with happiness. “Jasmine, I feel so happy and blissful right now.”

“Haven’t you gotten excited enough?” she laughed, looking at him.

Since discovering she was pregnant, Josh had been overjoyed. If she hadn’t asked him to keep the news under wraps until the first trimester ended, he would likely have been on his phone non-stop, calling friends and family to share the news.
