Chapter 1625
When Zachary emerged and saw Sonny kissing Serenity’s face, he felt a twinge of jealousy towards the three-year-old.
Zachary scooped Sonny up and carried him into the house while talking to him.
“What do you want to tell me?”
A curious expression crossed Sonny’s face.
Then, Zachary launched into a lengthy lecture.
Sonny was left speechless.
He couldn’t comprehend most of Zachary’s words, but he did catch one key point: he shouldn’t always kiss his aunt’s face since he was a boy.
However, Serenity was his aunt.
Even Serenity could kiss him on the face.
In the end, Sonny thought, ‘The adult world is so complicated.’
What Zachary said left Serenity at a loss for words. She finally said to her husband, “Babe, please take Sonny upstairs for a shower.”
“Okay.”
Zachary took Sonny upstairs, saying, “I’ll help you shower tonight.”
“I want to bring my toys with me.”
“You can take your water gun.”
“Alright.”
As they ascended the stairs, the two negotiated with each other.
Liberty remarked to Serenity, “Zachary is going to spoil Sonny.”
“No, he won’t. While he does pamper Sonny, he has his principles. He won’t spoil him all the time. You’ve taught Sonny well, and you don’t indulge him. He understands what’s acceptable and what isn’t.”
At that moment, Sonny was immensely loved.
Both the Stones and the Yorks cherished him greatly.
“Do you have something to tell me?”
Serenity fixed her gaze on Liberty.
“Mrs. Lewis invited me out tonight, and we talked.”
Liberty felt no need to hide anything from her sister.
Serenity would share her thoughts and seek Liberty’s opinion, and vice versa.
Liberty.
“Did Mrs. Lewis offer you a check worth millions of dollars to stay away from Mr. Lewis?”
Liberty shot a glare at her sister.
Serenity laughed. “That sounds like a typical plot in TV dramas.”
She was completely unconcerned that her sister might face difficulties in her meeting with Mrs. Lewis.
“Mrs. Lewis told me many things. She wants me to cancel the tenancy agreement for All You Can Eat and move out of the area. She promised to compensate me for the losses I would incur from relocating my shop and the expenses for renovating a new one.”
“Seren, do you think I should relocate?”
Before Serenity could respond, Liberty continued, “I have thought about moving, but I don’t believe it will work. Mr. Lewis will eventually track me down.”
“Mrs. Lewis wants me to leave Wiltspoon with Sonny in secret. She said I could still keep in touch with you and our relatives, but as long as you keep it confidential and don’t reveal my location, Mr. Lewis will give up on me.”
Serenity’s laughter ceased. Her expression grew serious, tinged with anger.
“How could Mrs. Lewis make such a request? What gives her the right to force you out of Wiltspoon? Her son is the one who loves you and pursues you. Why doesn’t she tell her son to leave Wiltspoon instead?”
Liberty smiled.
