Married at First Sight Chapter 1608

Chapter 1608
As Liberty got closer, she had a clearer view of Jessica.
Jessica had lost a significant amount of weight. Her complexion appeared dull, and she wore loose-fitting clothes. Only the most observant could tell that she was pregnant.
“Let’s go, Hank,” Jessica said to her husband.
At that moment, she felt uneasy about Hank being near Sonny. She worried that if they grew too close, Hank might not fully care for her child.
No matter whether her child was a boy or a girl, the Browns would undoubtedly favor Sonny.
Since Jessica would still be serving her sentence in the future, she wouldn’t be able to witness her child’s growth. If her child happened to be a girl who failed to meet the family’s expectations, who could say how much suffering she would endure without Jessica’s presence?
Thus, Hank was the child’s only source of support.
Sonny was far more fortunate than Jessica’s child.
With so many people loving and supporting Sonny, there was little reason to worry about his well-being.
“Sonny, what are you planning to buy with Mom?” Hank asked his son.
Sonny replied, “I’m going to play with Mom. Dad, what do you want to buy?”
After stealing a glance at Jessica, he paused for a moment before saying politely, “Hi, Jess.”
Jessica managed a forced smile.
“I’ve just arrived, so I haven’t bought anything yet. What do you want, Sonny? I’ll get it for you.”
Due to Jessica’s circumstances and interference from Liberty’s grandparents, it had been quite a while since Hank had seen his ex-wife, let alone his son.
Now that he finally had the chance to see his son, he felt compelled to buy him something.
The grim smile on Jessica’s face had faded away.
However, she remained silent.
At that moment, Liberty approached.
As soon as Jessica noticed…

Upon seeing Liberty, her lips twitched, yet she remained silent. She was meant to apologize to Liberty, as she had played an indirect role in Liberty’s narrow escape from death.

“Liberty,” Hank called out.

After a long absence, Hank suddenly felt that his ex-wife had transformed into someone entirely different. She appeared younger, more attractive, and exuded confidence—qualities she had before their marriage.

“You both can shop around. I’ll take Sonny to the indoor playground on the third floor for a bit,” Liberty said as she lifted her son from her ex-husband’s arms. After speaking coolly, she turned to Sonny and said, “Let’s go, Sonny.”

“Okay. Bye, Dad,” Sonny replied, waving goodbye to Hank.

“Liberty, Sonny,” Duncan’s voice unexpectedly rang out.

Moments later, he approached them with purpose. Upon seeing Duncan, Hank’s expression grew serious.
