Married at First Sight Chapter 1587

Chapter 1587
“Babe, I love you.”
Serenity expressed the words that Zachary cherished the most.
“From now on, I’ll buy you flowers every day, okay?”
Buying flowers was simple.
Serenity just needed to ask Camryn to prepare a bouquet each day, and then she would give it to Zachary.
“I only have one vase in my office. Alternating days will be sufficient.” Zachary’s expression finally relaxed.
Serenity replied, “Why don’t I get you a few more vases for your office?”
“I don’t want people to see me as a vase.”
Serenity laughed and said, “You’re a man. Who would think of you as a vase? Instead of buying more vases, I’ll send you a bouquet every other day. It’s Friday tomorrow. Should we go shopping on Saturday? I’ll get you some new clothes.”
Zachary had plenty of new clothes in his closet. Occasionally, a designer would tailor outfits specifically for him.
However, he still preferred receiving clothes from his wife.
Since learning about Zachary’s true identity and enjoying a comfortable life, Serenity had been purchasing him clothes from high-end brands to uphold his status as the eldest son of the York family.
Serenity selected Zachary’s daily outfits.
Zachary shot her a resentful glance.
He was sulking. What he truly desired was not material gifts.
“Babe, you know the vegetable farm I invested in is now shipping out produce in large quantities. We also need more partners. Elisa and I are currently discussing business. Furthermore, all of the Yorks’ small businesses will soon be entrusted to me, so I need to study more and broaden my experiences.
“That’s why my schedule is so full. But I’m always thinking of you. Besides my sister, you hold second place in my heart. You’ve surpassed

“Sonny!”

Serenity was only preoccupied for ten days, but Zachary found it unbearable.

It was hard to believe that when they first obtained their marriage license, Serenity had no objections to Zachary working until midnight before coming home.

Zachary thought, ‘That’s because when we first got married, we didn’t have feelings for each other, so it didn’t matter.’

“You can focus on your business, but you must come home before I do. From now on, you need to be back by nine o’clock every night. You can at least give me a few hours, right?”

“I’ve become a resentful husband because my wife seems indifferent to me…”

Though Zachary was busier than Serenity, he still made it a point to return home as early as possible each day to spend time with her.

“Okay, okay. I’ll be home by nine every night to keep you company.”

To appease her husband, Serenity readily agreed to his demands.

After all, he was quite a commanding man.

Yet despite Serenity’s promise, Zachary still found ways to discipline her in bed twice that night.

When Serenity arrived at her sister’s breakfast diner the following morning, she was still yawning.

Zachary suggested she sleep in since she looked tired; it wouldn’t affect his overtime work anyway.

Serenity was left speechless.

It seemed that married couples should not neglect one another.

Liberty was recovering well. At Serenity’s urging, she refrained from overworking herself. Most of the time, Liberty had her two employees prepare breakfast for the customers while she handled lighter tasks. During her hospitalization, the two workers had done an excellent job. Although business wasn’t as robust as usual, they still managed to retain their regular customers.

After Liberty returned to All You Can Eat, she gave both workers a raise.

Liberty

Liberty brought a plate of bacon and egg sandwiches with hashbrowns and asked Serenity, “Would you like peanut butter or ketchup?”

“Ketchup, please,” Serenity replied, yawning again.

“You didn’t sleep well last night, did you? I noticed you yawning several times since you walked in,” Liberty observed as she poured ketchup for her sister and sat down beside her with concern. “Have you been busy lately?”

The vegetable farm had a successful harvest, with produce being distributed in batches. Once one batch of vegetables was sold out, the next would be ready for shipment.

“Yeah, I’ve been quite busy,” Serenity admitted.

Managing the vegetable business and the bookstore was not overly demanding—at least Elisa was available to help share the load. However, the main challenge was that she needed to learn and master her in-laws’ family businesses. Despite her mother-in-law and Zachary reassuring her that there was no need to worry, Serenity felt she couldn’t afford to relax.
