“Andrew drove your aunt home, and Remy saw Elisa saying goodbye to him. Remy overreacted, viewing Andrew as a potential romantic rival, and called to gather information about him.”

Serenity asked, “Did my aunt injure her ankle badly?”

“It’s just a sprain. She’s wrapped up and doing fine. They have a family doctor, but Remy mentioned that Mrs. Stone didn’t call for the doctor, so I assume it’s not a serious sprain. Try not to worry too much.”

Serenity texted Elisa for more details before calling Aunt Audrey. She needed to be assured it was simply a sprain before letting the issue go. Aunt Audrey should recover in a few days.

“Remy seems to care deeply for Elisa, which explains his extreme reactions.”

Understandingly, Zachary replied, “He’s not alone in that. Anyone would feel protective if their crush interacted with someone of the opposite sex, even if it was just a fleeting moment.”

Serenity chuckled and then took off running.

Zachary immediately chased after her.

As punishment, Zachary pressed his lips against hers for a deep kiss. Serenity struggled, worried they might be seen, so Zachary couldn’t fully take control. Ultimately, he had to release her.

He gently flicked her forehead and said, “Don’t even think about it. You can only be mine in this lifetime. If there’s a next life, I want to be with you there too.”

“What if I’m a man in the next life?”

Zachary replied, “I guess it will be us against the world.”
