Married at First Sight Chapter 1575

Chapter 1575
Mrs. Stone said to Clive, “If you plan to talk to Remy, do it before it’s too late. Don’t allow the two of them to fall deeply in love. Your sister is still uncomfortable when she thinks about Zachary, and I know that.”
However, since Zachary is now her niece’s husband, she felt she couldn’t say more.
Thus, Zachary wouldn’t visit the Stones unless absolutely necessary; his visits were solely for Serenity.
Clive replied, “Mom, Elisa has moved on from Zachary. She’s calm when she sees him now.”
He then added, “Mom, was it just an accident that you sprained your foot? What’s happening with Andrew? Were you trying to create an opportunity for him and Elisa? Andrew is Zachary’s cousin. Even if the Readings keep a low profile, they’re still connected to the Yorks through marriage. That’s a reality.”
Mrs. Stone choked a bit and glanced at the door to ensure her daughter wouldn’t walk in. She said, “There aren’t many families in Wiltspoon that are a good match for us. Andrew is Zachary’s cousin, but they are the same age. He’s only a few months younger than Zachary, yet he is mature, calm, and gentle. Andrew and Remy share similar traits. Since Elisa gets along well with Remy, she would likely get along with Andrew too. She and Zachary never had a real relationship since he never liked her or made any promises.”
“Andrew must be aware of all this. If he likes Elisa, I believe it would be beneficial for them to be together, especially if it means keeping her from getting involved with Remy.”
Mrs. Stone looked at the door again and lowered her voice significantly as she continued, “I’m planning another screening to see which other families have young, handsome men suitable for Elisa. I’ll arrange for a few more suitors to pursue her, even if it’s just for show.”
“It would be best if we could prevent Remy and Elisa from getting together. Even if she ultimately accepts him and wants to be with him, he will feel pressured and anxious with a few love rivals. In that scenario, Remy will cherish Elisa even more in the future.”
Clive was at a loss for words.
He had initially thought that his mother was overpraising Andrew. It was clear now that she had orchestrated this to keep Elisa from marrying far away, involving Andrew and Elisa in her scheme.
“Keep this to yourselves and don’t let Elisa find out,”
Mrs. Stone instructed her son and daughter-in-law.
“Elisa is my only daughter, and I love her dearly. I cannot bear the thought of her marrying someone far away.”
After finishing, Mrs. Stone sighed once more.
She admired Remy as an exceptional man.
However, he was from Annenburg, and if Elisa married him, it would mean she was going far away.
Mrs. Stone was reluctant to let that happen!
She felt she had to play the villain this once.
Elisa remained unaware that her mother’s sprained foot was a ruse to create an opportunity for Andrew and her to meet.
After sending Remy away from the villa, Elisa lingered outside instead of going back in. She accompanied him to the
large villa that was still undergoing renovations.
“Remy, please don’t take what my mom said to heart.”
It was the first time Elisa had seen her mother act unfriendly toward Remy. Her mom had even asked him to leave.
Elisa remembered how kindly her mother had treated Remy in the past.
Remy smiled gently and replied, “I’ve forgotten what she said earlier. Her sprained foot must be causing her pain, so it’s understandable for her to be in a bad mood.”
Elisa paused and looked at him.
Remy met her gaze as well.
“Remy, my mom might have discovered your feelings for me. She probably disapproves of us being together.”
Elisa was not foolish. While her mother had not always shown enthusiasm towards Remy, she had never asked him to leave as she did today.
Elisa’s mother likely acted this way because she had either discovered or noticed Remy’s confession to Elisa. Since Remy was from Annenburg, Elisa’s mother was reluctant to allow her to marry someone so far away. Consequently, she became hostile toward Remy and sought to prevent him and Elisa from being together.
Elisa hadn’t even made a decision yet.
After a brief silence, Remy said, “I understand your mom doesn’t like that my home is so far away, but I will work hard to earn her acceptance. Elisa, sweet words mean nothing. The only way to prove my feelings for you are sincere is to let my actions speak for themselves.”
