Married at First Sight Chapter 1573

Chapter 1573
Remy was unfazed by Mrs. Stone’s demeanor. He was pursuing his future wife, so he had to be resilient.
With genuine concern, he asked, “Mrs. Stone, have you applied ointment to your sprained foot? I brought several types of ointments specifically for treating sprains and bruises.”
Upon hearing this, Elisa opened the large bags and discovered a small bag from the pharmacy inside one of them. It contained several bottles of ointments for sprains and bruises.
“Remy, we already have some common ointments at home. My mom’s foot has been treated with those,” Elisa remarked. Nevertheless, she was touched that Remy had brought ointments for her mother.
Remy’s consideration for her family indicated that he cared about her as well.
It turned out that being valued by a man could evoke such a warm feeling.
In contrast, when Elisa had pursued Zachary, he hadn’t even wanted to see her, let alone appreciate her.
Remy advised, “As long as some ointment has been applied, that’s good. If it doesn’t help, be sure to take her to the hospital for a scan to check for any bone injuries.”
Mrs. Stone remained indifferent and replied, “There’s no need for a scan. I only sprained it, so I just need to rest and apply more ointment tomorrow. Thank you for your concern, Mr. Johnson.”
Remy nodded. After Elisa sat down, he took a seat next to her, which irritated Mrs. Stone.
“Mr. Johnson, your house is still under renovation, so you must be quite busy, right? I’m fine, so please feel free to attend to your own matters. I appreciate you visiting and bringing so many supplements. We have plenty at home, but your thoughtfulness means a lot.”
“Clive, please see Mr. Johnson out.”
Mrs. Stone didn’t want to see her daughter sitting next to Remy, so she straightforwardly requested his departure.
Remy maintained a gentle smile. Mrs. Stone couldn’t help but admire his strong demeanor. Although…

He was a favored child, yet he maintained his good manners, smiling even when she treated him coldly and gave him a long face.

“Mrs. Stone, your supplements are for your family, while these are just small gifts from me. I hope you don’t mind.”

“My house is still under renovation, so I’ll be checking in every day. However, I can’t assist directly and can only ask the renovator to follow my instructions. It’s fine for me to step away at times; after all, I’ve provided the drawings to the renovator.”

Mrs. Stone’s expression tensed.

“Mom, Remy came to see you out of kindness. He hasn’t even had a glass of water yet.”

Elisa had not accepted Remy’s feelings, but she had always treated him as a friend. They got along very well, and she couldn’t help but defend him when her mom showed him a poor attitude.

Mrs. Stone opened her mouth and finally instructed the maid, “Bring Mr. Johnson a glass of warm water.”

She couldn’t act overly harsh in front of her daughter and could only glare at Remy.

Despite this, Remy remained unfazed. No matter how Mrs. Stone glared at him, he remained calm and unchanged in expression.

Since Elisa had spoken, even if Clive wanted to send Remy away, he had to stay put for the time being.

Clive hoped that Remy would feel his ego bruised and leave on his own.

That hope, however, was destined to fail.

Remy felt no blow to his ego at all.
