Married at First Sight Chapter 1552

Chapter 1552
Grandma May guided Sonny out of the gazebo and turned to Zachary.
Zachary responded, “The two aunts of Ms. Camryn, who are currently waiting outside to meet Aunt Rosella, keep disparaging Ms. Camryn as an ungrateful wench. They are eager to seize the opportunity to take control of the Newman family. I didn’t delve into the details; that’s for Callum to address.”
Camryn would only be his sister-in-law in the future. Unless she sought his help, he had no intention of involving himself in the Newmans’ matters.
“Callum hasn’t interfered much, right? Camryn can take care of herself. Callum just needs to support her from behind.”
Grandma May was confident in her chosen granddaughter-in-law, believing that Camryn would manage the Newman family assets effectively.
Zachary remained silent.
Grandma May quickly shifted the conversation.
She no longer had to worry about her second and third grandsons, as she had already selected partners for them; all that was left was for them to pursue their future wives.
However, she had yet to decide on wives for her fourth and fifth grandsons.
As for her sixth grandson, Austin, and those who followed him, they could wait until they were older. There was no rush.
Boys typically mature more slowly than girls.
If a man marries too young, he might struggle with the responsibilities of a family.
Marriage should ideally be pursued only after a man has established a successful career, enabling him to support a family without relying on his parents or siblings.
Zachary replied, “We came back to see you first, Nana. Where would you like to go?”
“I’m just an old pile

of bones. “I won’t go. You young ones should go instead. Tell your brothers and enjoy a few days on the island.”

Grandma May still needed to evaluate the wife candidates for her fourth and fifth grandsons. If everything went smoothly, she could finalize the arrangements.

Her fourth and fifth grandsons shivered in fear at the thought.

Zachary hummed softly.

Grandma May turned to Serenity and said, “Seren, let Zack take you around while he’s on holiday. It doesn’t matter if you don’t visit other places, but you must see our family’s estates.”

Serenity was destined to be the lady of the York family in the future.

She needed to familiarize herself with the York family’s assets.

“Now that you’re back, I will ask your mother-in-law to show you all the accounts of our family’s assets. You don’t have to manage them right away, but once you gain some experience and your mother-in-law wishes to retire, you’ll need to take over.”

After a moment of reflection, Serenity replied, “Nana, I’m still young and lack experience. I can’t assume that responsibility all at once.”

In truth, despite being the lady of the York family, she had yet to grasp the full extent of their wealth.

She only knew that York Corporation and Wiltspoon Hotel belonged to her in-laws, and they owned a large horse racecourse. The couple had planned to visit the racecourse, but Zachary suddenly thought she was pregnant during their journey, leading them to the hospital instead.

That resulted in an argument.

They had never mentioned going to the racecourse again.

Serenity also knew that York Corporation had numerous branches across the country, but she wasn’t aware of their specific locations.

Grandma May’s comments surprised her.

She hadn’t realized she was expected to assist with her husband’s family business.

Moreover, she was unaware that her

Zachary’s mother-in-law continued to oversee various industries owned by the York family, often appearing pampered and idle. No member of the York family should be underestimated.

“Yes, it can be overwhelming to take on everything at once, so you should take the opportunity to learn from Tania whenever you can. This will be your work and responsibility in the future. You also need to become familiar with managing the staff at Wildridge Manor, tracking income and expenses, and handling the accounts,” she advised.

Concerned that Serenity might feel overwhelmed, Zachary interjected, “Nana, that can wait until Seren and I are married. She still has to focus on her vegetable farm investment for now. Once she becomes more adept at managing that, we can ease her into taking over gradually.”

Grandma May chuckled and replied, “I’m not expecting Seren to take on everything all at once. I simply want her to gain some experience.”
