Married at First Sight Chapter 1549

Chapter 1549
Melissa’s words caused the two tense men to temporarily set aside their anger towards each other.
As they entered the store, the two men walked side by side and nearly collided.
Dalton shot a glare at Callum and said in a low voice, “Mr. York, Cam hasn’t accepted your advances yet, so please show her the respect she deserves. Don’t get too touchy-feely with her.”
Callum responded defiantly, “Camryn isn’t really your sister. You two have different last names. Only Aunt Evelyn has the right to say such things to me. Besides, I’m not taking advantage of Camryn; I held her hand to help her out of the car because she can’t see.”
Dalton paused before replying, “Cam thinks of me as her brother, and she was the one who saved my life. We’ve been siblings for many years; she’s my sister in my heart!”
I know that you and Camryn are close, which is why I’m calling you Dal too.”
Dalton choked.
Callum’s expression seemed to convey, ‘By calling you Dal, I’m considering you a brother as well. I’m showing you plenty of respect.’
“I’m hardly worthy. You should just stick to calling me Mr. Mitchell.”
“I’ll call you whatever Camryn calls you. I listen to her. You should know that the men of the York family are very obedient to their wives.”
Dalton’s expression darkened. “Camryn hasn’t married you yet.”
“She will, sooner or later.”
Dalton was left speechless.
“It’s my first time realizing you’re so thick-skinned.”
Callum smiled, “I need to be thick-skinned to pursue my wife. If I’m not tough enough and give up after being rejected, I’ll never be able to win her over.”
Dalton choked again.
The conversation between the two wasn’t loud, but both Camryn and Melissa overheard them.
With a smile, Melissa asked Camryn, “Is he pursuing you now? He’s not bad.”
She overheard Dalton refer to Callum as “Mr. York,” but she had no idea who “Mr. York” was in Wiltspoon.
“How many days off do you have, Melissa?”
Melissa worked for a company; she didn’t just laze around enjoying life because her boyfriend earned several million a year and insisted on working. Even though her income was significantly lower than Dalton’s, she believed it was far more satisfying to spend money she earned herself.
“I only have the weekends off, so three days in total.”
Camryn smiled and replied, “Three days off is fine. People like us who are self-employed can’t even get a single day off.”
“But you have freedom. I want to open a store after I get married and run a small business. I don’t want to work in an office anymore, Camryn. Does your flower shop make a good profit?”
“It’s enough for me to make a living, but the competition is very fierce. Are you planning to open a flower shop too?”
Once they sat down, Camryn skillfully prepared tea for everyone.
Melissa looked into her eyes and asked with concern, “Camryn, has your eyesight still not improved at all?”
“No.”
As she steeped the tea, Camryn replied, “But as long as I’m in a familiar environment, I can do many things independently. Practice makes perfect.”
Melissa nodded and said, “I want to open a café since I’m not very fond of flowers. If you want to start a business, you should choose an industry you love. Only then will you run it with care and dedication, which is essential for success.”
Camryn nodded in agreement. Initially, she had considered opening a café, but ultimately chose to open a florist because of her passion for caring for flowers and plants.

The flowers and plants in the Newman family villa thrived under her care. She felt neglected at home and struggled to connect with her parents and sister, prompting her to seek an activity to escape from them. As a result, she took up gardening. Over time, she developed a genuine passion for flowers and plants as she cultivated more and more of them, gaining valuable experience in the process. Eventually, she decided to open a flower shop.
