Married at First Sight Chapter 1540

Chapter 1540
Consequently, Josh pretended to be intoxicated.
“Dear.”
With no one playing pranks on them, they could truly relish their wedding night.
Josh approached, sitting at the edge of the bed as he embraced Jasmine, his gaze passionate.
“Dear, every moment of our wedding night is invaluable. Let’s not waste it.”
As he spoke, he leaned in for a kiss but was gently pushed away by Jasmine.
“I haven’t taken off my makeup or changed my clothes yet. I still need to shower, and so do you.”
Jasmine stood up and walked to the dressing table, removing her jewelry piece by piece.
“Bejeweled” perfectly described her that day.
The quantity of jewelry Josh had gifted her could have filled a jewelry store, and her family had also provided her with an abundance of adornments. When she revealed herself, her neck and hands sparkled with an overwhelming brilliance.
At that moment, Jasmine felt like a walking jewelry store.
“Dear, you look incredibly beautiful today.”
Josh said as he approached and complimented his new wife.
“When have I not?”
Josh chuckled. “You’re right. My wife is always stunning.”
As he assisted Jasmine in removing her jewelry, he smiled and asked, “Dear, you must be tired, right?”
“I am tired, but it’s a joyful exhaustion. I wouldn’t have realized I could dress so grandly if I hadn’t gotten married.”
“I’m so fortunate to have married a wealthy wife. I can afford to work five years less and just relax. I’ll ignore Zachary when he asks me to put in extra hours in the future—I have a rich wife taking care of me, after all.”
Jasmine burst into laughter.
“Stop teasing me, Josh. You’re the one who provided me with all my riches.”
Seizing the moment, Josh…

He embraced her from behind. “My dear, I’ve given you everything I have. In the future, I’ll also share my earnings from York Corporation with you. You must love me for all eternity.”

“If you love me forever, I’ll do the same.”

A marriage requires effort from both partners. Jasmine would not invest her energy unilaterally. If Josh loved and respected her, she would reciprocate those feelings.

Turning around, Jasmine wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. After a passionate kiss, she softly said, “Josh, go take a shower first.”

“Are you still calling me Josh?”

“Hubby.”

Josh immediately looked relieved and responded, “Dear, you need to call me hubby more often. Hearing you say that makes me weak in the knees.”

Jasmine kissed his cheek again. “Alright, alright. I’ll call you hubby and make you weak every day.”

“Didn’t you say every moment of our wedding night is precious? We can’t waste any time. Aren’t you going to bathe?”

Josh lifted Jasmine into his arms. “Dear, let’s bathe together. That way, we won’t have to wait for each other.”

Jasmine felt a bit shy. However, it was their special day, and that night marked their first night as husband and wife; there was no reason to feel embarrassed.

So, she tightened her grip around Josh’s neck and readily agreed, “Okay. Let’s take a bath together to save time.”

Josh happily carried his wife into the bathroom.

It was a night filled with love. Josh, having successfully won over his beautiful wife, began their wedding night blissfully.
