Married at First Sight Chapter 1520

Chapter 1520
Elisa sat on the bench. “That’s wonderful. I can’t handle the provocation of seeing you two being all lovey-dovey. I feel jealous every time I see Serenity and Jasmine together.”
“Elisa, you don’t need to envy them. You’ll be just as happy as they are in the future.”
“Who can predict the future? However, if I find myself unhappy, I won’t settle for it. If my future husband mistreats me, I’ll divorce him and return to my family. My two brothers can support me for the rest of my life.”
The confidence of a married woman stemmed from her family’s backing.
Elisa felt that her family was very supportive.
“That won’t happen. Your in-laws will be wonderful people.”
Remy believed that the elders in his family were kind.
No one would make life difficult for their daughter-in-law.
“Let’s stop talking about me. Tell me, who’s the lady on your mind? It must be someone from Wiltspoon, right? Did you buy a house here for her?”
Remy nodded and admitted honestly, “Yes, I did it for her. I wanted to be closer to her, see her often, and interact with her more. She even approved my renovation plans for this villa after we discussed it together.”
Elisa asked, “Remy, are you hinting at me?”
Remy looked at her seriously and said, “Elisa, this isn’t a hint. It’s you. You’re the person I like. I bought this villa to be nearer to your house. We’ll be neighbors in the future, allowing me to interact with you up close.”
“If we end up together, we’ll live in that villa long-term, making it easier for you to visit your family.”
Elisa was left speechless.
She was surprised, yet at the same time, it didn’t come as a shock.
During the meal, Grandma May had hinted at it to her.

She was taken aback at that moment, but after some reflection, she realized the old lady was right. Remy’s actions had been deliberate. He continued to delay his confession. Elisa, feeling too lazy to overthink things, was hesitant to develop feelings for him, fearing it might be wishful thinking.

“Elisa, I like you. No, I love you,” Remy confessed earnestly. “Can you give me a chance to pursue you? If you can’t accept my feelings, let’s just remain friends. Please don’t end our friendship. This is my first time loving a girl so seriously and wholeheartedly.”

“When a man from the Johnson family marries, he commits himself to his family and marriage for life. We are loyal to our wives and take love seriously. We don’t play around.”

Elisa was someone who boldly expressed her love and hatred. She wasn’t naïve; she had considered all the good things Remy had done for her. However, following her setback with Zachary, she was reluctant to take the initiative again, fearing it would lead to disappointment once more.

Elisa was not afraid of failure, but experiencing repeated failures was disheartening. Now that Remy had confessed, she would contemplate it carefully.

“I know the Johnson family values strong family ties. In Annenburg, many young girls aspire to marry into the Johnson family for a loving husband rather than riches.”

Hearing Elisa’s words filled Remy with relief. Thankfully, the reputation of his family’s strong values had reached as far as Wiltspoon.
