“Zachary has become more considerate towards you. His progress has been rapid.”
“Nana always said that good men must be trained by you.”
At the mention of Grandma May, Jasmine exclaimed, “It’s been so long since I last saw Grandma May. I miss her so much.”
“Jas, you miss me, huh? I’m right here,” came Grandma May’s voice just before she appeared.
Speak of the devil.
She still radiated energy and moved quickly, exuding an air of nobility, elegance, and grace. Every time Serenity saw Grandma May, she secretly berated herself for having been blind and foolish in the past, thinking of Grandma May as just an ordinary old woman.
“Nana!”
“Grandma May, I’m glad I didn’t speak poorly of you, or you would have heard it.” Jasmine chuckled as she set down the novel she had been holding, although she had barely read any of its pages.
Following Grandma May was a handsome young man carrying several bags.
“River is here.”
It was River, the seventh young master of the York family. He was the youngest son of Zachary’s second uncle and had just turned twenty-three this year. Before entering the business world, he was virtually unknown to the public, and even his name had not been heard.
Jasmine had seen all nine young masters of the York family but had only met them twice and wasn’t close to any of them. At first glance, she noticed River but did not recognize him or understand his place in the family. However, upon hearing Serenity refer to him, Jasmine realized it was the seventh young master accompanying Grandma May.
“Serenity,” River greeted her politely.
Before he greeted Jasmine, he said, “Ms. Sox.” Jasmine smiled back at him and replied, “Mr. River.” River quickly added, “You can call me River, Ms. Sox.” Josh was Zachary’s close friend, and they had known each other for years. Try Your Lucky Draw: 8800 Bonus >>>
