Married at First Sight Chapter 1494

Chapter 1494
Camryn fell silent.
Dalton had said everything he needed to say. Seeing her quiet demeanor, he realized it stemmed from her feelings of inferiority.
If it had been other men, Camryn might not have felt unworthy simply because she was blind. However, this was the second son of the York family they were discussing. The Yorks were the wealthiest family in Wiltspoon, while the Newman family’s assets barely exceeded a billion dollars.
Moreover, some of their assets might be at risk of seizure. Ultimately, the lawful businesses they could retain might only amount to a few hundred million in assets.
This was insignificant compared to the hundreds of billions possessed by the York family.
As a result of her circumstances, Camryn developed feelings of inferiority and believed she was unworthy of Callum.
After finishing their meal and taking a brief break, Dalton drove Camryn back to the city.
Upon their arrival, Callum and the others exited the hotel.
Having had a few drinks, Callum did not drive. Instead, he borrowed a bodyguard from Zachary to drive his car and headed straight to the Newman villa after leaving the hotel.
He owned a villa there, allowing him to rest after visiting the Newman family’s villa to find Camryn.
If she wasn’t home, he would check her flower shop.
Although Wiltspoon was large, those were her only two likely destinations.
He was confident he would locate her that night.
Serenity cradled the drowsy Sonny and said to Zachary, “Babe, please call Mrs. Lane and let Liberty know that I’ll be taking Sonny back today. Jim will take him to class tomorrow morning.”
Liberty should be resting at this hour.
Zachary nodded and pulled out his phone to call Mrs. Lane, asking her to inform Liberty not to worry, as they would bring Sonny home.

“Rest well today,” Mrs. Lane said. “Ms. Hunt has already gone to bed. She waited until nine o’clock but didn’t see you bring Sonny back, so she assumed you would take him home with you.”

“Okay, you get some rest too,” Zachary replied before hanging up the phone and taking Sonny from Serenity.

Sonny opened his eyes, recognized his Uncle Zack, and softly called out to him before shutting his eyes again. He leaned against Zachary’s chest and quickly fell asleep.

Zachary’s heart melted at the sound of the child’s gentle voice. He deeply wished for a child of his own—one with Serenity. He imagined that their baby would be just as adorable as Sonny.

While Zachary eagerly anticipated having a child, he hesitated to express his feelings for fear of putting pressure on Serenity. She was already anxious about her fertility, concerned that she hadn’t become pregnant even after six months of marriage.

If he mentioned wanting a child, Serenity would likely overthink it and insist they visit the hospital for another checkup.

Zachary sighed inwardly, reminding himself, “Don’t rush, don’t rush. We will definitely have a child of our own. The psychic said we’re destined to have a son and a daughter, and that it will only happen in the fall.”
