Married at First Sight Chapter 1492

Chapter 1492
Camryn understood that the police’s swift discovery of evidence regarding her uncle’s harm to her father was not the main reason for his predicament. Instead, it was the incident involving her mother, coupled with the evidence supplied by Mr. York, that ensured her uncle could not evade justice.
Among the evidence Josh uncovered, much of it seemed to implicate Mrs. Newman initially. He suspected that Mr. Newman had used his wife as a scapegoat. However, who was Josh Bucham? He managed to gather additional evidence against Mr. Newman.
Ultimately, Mr. Newman lost his freedom.
The incident involving Mrs. Newman created a significant uproar in Wiltspoon. Following extensive media coverage, the event became widely known, not only to the residents of Wiltspoon but also to people in other cities who followed the news.
Naturally, those at Newman Enterprise were also aware of the situation.
They speculated about who would take over the company after Mr. Newman and his wife were incarcerated. Who would inherit Newman Enterprise?
Mr. Newman’s only son?
However, he was still just a high school student. Mr. Newman had kept his son well-protected, so the executives had never had the chance to meet the young man.
Camryn typically learned about the events at Newman Enterprise through Dalton. Many believed that, due to her blindness and age, there were numerous tasks she would struggle with. When she participated in the video conference with everyone, doubts lingered about her ability to manage Newman Enterprise.
However, the conference dispelled the senior management’s concerns. The eldest daughter of the Newman family was quite knowledgeable about the company’s affairs.
Furthermore, Dalton, the deputy managing director, was seated beside her. He was someone whom Mr. Newman had always trusted and relied upon. If he supported Camryn, what could they possibly argue?
After all, they were merely senior executives.
In the end, Newman

The Newman family owned the enterprise. As long as a member of the family continued to pay the salaries, it was irrelevant to them who held the top position. At that moment, Camryn was still at the sea-view villa, unaware that Callum had sought Serenity’s help after failing to reach her. Serenity, in turn, was not aware that Camryn had changed her phone number. She contemplated whether to share her new number with Serenity, but if she did, Callum would find out as well.

Camryn reclined on a lounge chair in the yard, with a table beside her. Across the table was another recliner and a large parasol that provided shelter from both wind and rain, day or night. Dalton emerged with the cooked dishes, placing them one by one on the table before heading back inside to grab some empty plates for both Camryn and himself.

“Let’s eat,” he said.

“Sorry for making you cook, Dal,” Camryn replied.

Dalton chuckled. “There’s no need to apologize. Try the chowder first.” He handed Camryn a bowl of seafood chowder.

“Thank you,” she said.

“You don’t have to be so formal with me either,” he responded, serving himself a bowl as well. “Do you want me to take you back to the city after we eat?” he asked gently.

“Yes, I’m sorry for the trouble.” Camryn had initially intended to stay, but she realized Dalton likely wouldn’t leave Wiltspoon tonight since it was late. If she stayed, Dalton would remain too, out of concern. Although they were like siblings, she worried that living together like this could lead to misunderstandings with his girlfriend. Therefore, she decided to return to the city.

Her younger brother would be back in two days, as he usually came home once a month. Camryn and her mother did…

They chose not to inform him about the changes in the family, as they did not want to disrupt his studies.
