Married at First Sight Chapter 1445

Chapter 1445
After concluding her call with her grandfather, Serenity held the phone and said to Zachary, “I sought external help to confront the Browns and restore peace for my sister, as you suggested, but I’m unsure of how it will turn out.”
“We’ll find out in time; I believe the impact will be significant,” Zachary replied confidently.
“Seren, you don’t need to worry so much. Right now, we should focus on what dress and jewelry you’ll wear tonight,” he added.
Serenity gave him a sideways glance. “You sound like you want to steal the spotlight from Mr. Bucham.”
Zachary responded smugly, “I don’t even have to steal it. I naturally draw attention wherever I go, and I make Josh look pale in comparison.”
Serenity was speechless. While he was confident in outshining Josh, she had no desire to overshadow her best friend.
With a smile, she said, “My dresses are the ones you or Aunt Audrey bought. I’ve only worn the dresses I purchased a few times. Will I ever get the chance to wear my own dresses to events when I accompany you?”
She shot a sidelong glance at the bossy man. “The weather is getting warmer now. Please don’t make me wear overly conservative dresses; it’s too hot for that.”
The dresses Zachary had given her were never revealing, but some were quite conservative and better suited for winter or spring. It was already April, and the daytime temperatures in Wiltspoon were rising. Wearing a winter dress would be stifling.
Zachary chuckled.
“I’ll let you choose tonight.”
As Serenity noted, the dresses he provided weren’t revealing, so she could wear any of them as long as it was one he had given her.
“It’s still early; you can get some rest after.”

“Returning home, I’ll wake you up in the evening.”

Zachary looked at the dark circles under her eyes with concern. Serenity leaned against his shoulder and yawned. “Let’s rest together. You’re more exhausted than I am.”

He had to manage work and stay up at the hospital with her at night, making it more tiring for him.

Zachary replied affectionately, “Okay.”

Serenity closed her eyes to rest and didn’t say anything further. They nestled into each other’s embrace in silence, enveloped in happiness.

When she awoke in the evening, Serenity realized her in-laws had come to visit again. She didn’t want to sleep in and quickly got up after washing up.

“Dad, Mom,” she greeted.

They were casually chatting with Zachary in the living room. Serenity greeted them and sat down beside him.

Noticing Serenity hadn’t changed into her dress, Tania smiled and asked, “Why haven’t you changed into your dress, Serenity?”

“I just woke up,” Serenity replied with an embarrassed chuckle. She had intended to take a short nap but hadn’t expected to sleep for so long. She was genuinely exhausted these days.

Since her sister had improved significantly, Serenity could finally sleep soundly. One day after Liberty regained consciousness, she told Serenity that she had seen their parents while she was unconscious and that it was their parents who brought her back.

Tears welled up in Serenity’s eyes upon hearing this. She thought, ‘If it weren’t for Mom and Dad bringing her back, I would have truly lost her.’ The lingering fear of that possibility weighed heavily on her mind.
