officially together. Camryn sought Callum’s assistance to persuade Josh to initiate an investigation. Along with turning over the recorder to the police, they uncovered evidence that Mr. and Mrs. Newman had a secret relationship in their youth, which they subsequently submitted to law enforcement.
The Bucham family had already gathered incriminating information on the Newman couple. While most of the evidence implicated Mrs. Newman, Mr. Newman was also involved. In his eagerness to help his wife receive a lighter sentence, Mr. Newman inadvertently became part of the investigation himself.
Despite clarifying that he did not murder his brother, he confessed that he and his wife had fallen in love long ago. After his brother’s death, he could not bear to see his beloved sister-in-law struggling to care for his two-year-old niece, so he married her, ignoring the opinions of others.
He angrily scolded Camryn for being ungrateful and for casting stones at them during their difficult times. Even Camryn’s aunts returned home to blame her, nearly causing chaos at Spring Blossoms, but fortunately, Callum was there to intervene. The aunts dared not confront Camryn in his presence.
The only person who supported Camryn was her youngest aunt. Callum stepped in to help resolve the issues within the Newman family. Serenity and Zachary remained largely uninvolved. After Camryn filed a lawsuit against her mother and stepfather for her father’s murder, the day of Josh and Jasmine’s engagement arrived.
Although Liberty had been hospitalized for a week due to her injuries, she was on the mend. Unable to personally convey her best wishes to Jasmine, she insisted that her sister still attend the engagement party as planned. In the hospital room, Serenity peeled an apple for her sister, saying, “Don’t rush me, Liberty. I’ll go to the Bucham residence.”
“Tonight, Zachary is going to Jasmine and Mr. Bucham’s engagement party,” Liberty said, feeling relieved. “That’s great! I would have made you leave if you hadn’t gone. I can manage on my own now, and Mrs. Lane and the others are here to support me as well. You don’t need to worry about anything.”
