Chapter 1425
Camryn restrained her anger and replied, “Mr. Callum, I don’t even know what you look like. How could I dislike you for being unattractive?”
“Marriage is a significant event, Mr. Callum. We’re not just playing house. We’re merely friends, not even a couple. How can you discuss marriage?”
Callum paused before responding. Just as Camryn thought she had convinced him, he said gently, “You don’t have to be a couple to get married. Zachary met Serenity for the first time when they applied for their marriage license, and they’re doing wonderfully now. They’re so sweet to each other that
I can’t help but feel envious.”
Camryn was at a loss for words.
Zachary had suddenly married Serenity, but were all the men in the York family planning to do the same?
Or did they want to emulate Zachary because they were too busy to bother with dating?
Callum continued, “If you want to start as a couple, that’s simple. I’ll be your boyfriend. We’re a couple now.”
Camryn was rendered speechless. “Don’t you need to ask for my consent, Mr. Callum?”
“Alright. Do you agree?”
“I don’t deserve you. Please stop teasing me.”
From their very first meeting, Camryn felt that Callum was intentionally getting close to her.
However, she couldn’t grasp the reason behind it.
She considered the possibility that Callum had feelings for her, but quickly dismissed the thought.
She was blind, and Callum belonged to the York family. Regardless of how open-minded their elders were, how could they accept someone with her disability?
“Why do you think you’re unworthy of me? I’ll change so we’re a better match.”
From the moment Callum received Camryn’s photo, he realized that despite his reservations, he would eventually marry her as his grandmother wished.
Since he could not escape this fate, he decided to treat Camryn
as his wife.
