Married at First Sight Chapter 1376

Chapter 1376
“Oh, you didn’t look into it?”
Josh quickly replied, “I didn’t because you didn’t like the idea of everything being under my control while you’re left in the dark. I won’t use my connections to investigate if it involves you. I’m just assuming that Serenity is with you since you two are such close friends. She tells you everything happening in her life.”
“Seren is with me. Please inform Mr. York that she’ll be staying with me tonight and won’t be going home for a while.”
Josh responded, “Alright, I’ll let him know later. Is there anything you want to tell me, my beloved wife?”
“Your boss should serve as a warning. Don’t follow his example.”
Josh smiled and said, “Don’t worry. I do the opposite of what he does. I won’t imitate the things that upset his wife.”
“You give me no reason to worry. I love you, Josh. I love you to pieces!”
“I love you too.”
Jasmine added, “You should reply to Mr. York before he gets anxious. He cares for Seren deeply, but the little things he does… I’m going to take a shower now.”
Josh struggled to put down the phone.
He then called Zachary. Once Zachary answered, Josh said, “Your wife has taken the love of my life away from me.”
“I’ll bring her back right away so she doesn’t take more time from you.”
Zachary suspected that Serenity was also at the Soxes’ residence.
He had asked Aunt Audrey and confirmed that Serenity was not with her aunt. The only place left was
the Soxes’ residence.
Zachary didn’t bother asking Elisa unless he had no other choice.
“Jasmine mentioned that your wife will be staying with her for a few days. It’s best not to disturb her unless it’s urgent.”
Zachary’s expression became tense.

“I’m wherever she is. I’ll go pick up my wife now,” he said before hanging up on Josh.

Josh had intended to remind Zachary that the Soxes owned two fierce hounds. These dogs typically only barked unless provoked, at which point they would charge if someone attempted to break into the property.

During the day, the Soxes would keep the hounds on a leash, but at night, they were free to roam. However, the yard’s gate was locked to prevent the dogs from frightening passersby.

The pets made excellent watchdogs.

The Sox family’s neighbors also had dogs.

Before Wiltspoon experienced rapid growth, the Soxes’ home was situated in a rural area. Although the name of the place remained the same, the Soxes’ surroundings had transformed into a bustling town capable of rivaling a major city.

The locals were affluent.

The Sox family, being locals themselves, profited from the rental industry. Despite this, they maintained a low profile and lived like an ordinary family, each holding nine-to-five jobs.

After confirming that his wife was at the Soxes’ home, Zachary informed Jim and the other bodyguards to stay behind. He drove himself to the Soxes’ residence.

Although feeling sleepy, Serenity tossed and turned, keeping an eye out for any sudden movements from the dogs in the yard.

Understanding the situation, Jasmine said, “The dogs will bark when Zachary arrives. Don’t think about him, Seren. Get some sleep. You didn’t rest well last night.”

“I’m not thinking about him. Jasmine, I’ve decided to stay with you for a few days.”

Serenity refused to admit that the infuriating man occupied her thoughts.

Jasmine smiled. “Alright, I believe you. Just try to sleep. Stop tossing and turning; you’re like a pancake flipping in a pan.”
