“You speak as if I might have a health issue and am intentionally avoiding the doctor. I know my body, and you know better than anyone whether I’m okay in that regard.”
Zachary’s expression turned grim.
Serenity replied, “Yes, yes, yes. You’re fine. You’re in excellent health. It’s my issue. Fine, I’ll get the examination. You don’t have to.”
“There’s no need for you to undergo the medical examination either. I said we’re both fine. Don’t put that pressure on yourself,” he insisted.
Serenity believed she should at least have a clear understanding of her health status. If it wasn’t at its best, she needed to improve it.
With neither of them willing to concede, Zachary exploded in frustration, shaking Serenity’s hand off. Grimacing, he said, “You can do whatever you want.”
He turned away from Serenity and strode off.
The security team exchanged concerned glances as the couple argued at the end of the hallway. Although the bodyguards remained vigilant, no one dared to intervene.
With Mr. Zachary storming off without waiting for his wife, the security team recognized that the situation was serious.
The couple was at it again, and Mr. Zachary was furious.
Ultimately, the security team split into two groups: half followed Zachary while the other half stayed behind to protect Serenity.
Serenity felt pained as Zachary pushed her hand away and walked off with a scowl. A lump formed in her throat and tears brimmed her eyes as he left without a backward glance. She stubbornly fought back the urge to cry.
All she wanted was to get a physical examination to determine if there was anything wrong with them. They had been married for seven months and had been a real couple for five.
Months had passed, yet she was not expecting. While they were not in a rush to start a family, it made sense to rule out any possibilities. After all, early detection could lead to early prevention if there were any issues. Was she mistaken in her thinking?
Zachary’s tantrums, typical of an heir, were making a reappearance. Serenity was confident that there was nothing wrong with Zachary, but why not go for a medical examination anyway? He appeared eager when they arrived at the hospital just moments ago. Now, the couple had a disagreement, and he had chosen to leave her and go off on his own.
