Married at First Sight Chapter 1350

Chapter 1350
Mr. Newman spoke with concern in his voice. Noticing Camryn’s state and the fact that she had lost her shoes, he turned to his wife and gently asked, “Honey, could you please take Camryn inside the house?”
Then, he addressed Callum with an inviting gesture, saying, “Mr. York, please, come inside.”
Although Callum had initially planned to leave right after dropping Camryn off, he quickly changed his mind and decided to have a brief conversation with Mr. Newman as a sign of respect.
Minutes later, after Callum recounted the events, Mr. Newman erupted in anger, cursing loudly, “What a damned fool! All I did was give him a stern talking-to. I can’t believe he would turn around and do something like this, trying to harm my niece!”
He expressed his gratitude to Callum, saying, “Mr. York, I am sincerely grateful to you. If you hadn’t shown up at the right moment, who knows what that despicable excuse for a bodyguard would have done to Camryn?”
The unfortunate bodyguard took the blame for the incident.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Newman emerged from Camryn’s room, feeling a deep swell of anguish within her.
Aside from having her dress ruined and losing a pair of high heels, Camryn was largely unscathed. She had only minimal injuries and barely any noticeable bruises. Callum had saved her from being humiliated.
If she had anticipated this outcome, she would have drugged Camryn at the banquet to prevent her from resisting.
The only reason she hadn’t drugged Camryn was that the man had explicitly stated he didn’t like his women unconscious. She never anticipated he would be such an imbecile, unable to even subdue a blind girl.
How did Callum manage to arrive just in time to rescue the blind fool?
They were back at square one—what would happen to Carrie now?
Mrs. Newman was furious but knew better than to act rashly.

preferred to keep her emotions in check. She joined her husband and Callum, expressing her gratitude to Callum as well.

Camryn joined them after changing into a fresh outfit and slipping on a pair of slippers.

Callum glanced at her and noticed that she had returned to her usual stoic demeanor. He grimaced and chose to remain silent.

She approached him and sat on the edge of the couch, listening passively as her mother and stepfather argued with the bodyguards.

Her stepfather rambled about wanting to call the police, but her mother stopped him, voicing concerns about the potential damage to Camryn’s reputation.

“Mr. Newman, Mrs. Newman, it’s getting late. I’ll be heading home first,” he announced.

The Newman couple were skilled actors, and Callum knew better than to be fooled by their charade. He resolved to uncover the identity of the scoundrel who had tried to exploit Camryn. Once he had sufficient evidence, he would seek justice for her.

He stood up and stated solemnly, “Mr. Newman, Camryn is a good friend of my sister-in-law, who cares for her deeply.”

Mr. Newman responded anxiously, “I understand. It is a great honor to say that my niece has a strong relationship with Mrs. York. I truly appreciate Mrs. York looking out for her tonight and trusting you to bring her home. I wouldn’t know what to do if something happened to Camryn; I would have failed in my duties and let her father down.”

His face was twisted in a tight expression of agitation.

“I will assign a new female bodyguard to her starting tomorrow and will take special care to ensure her safety at all times,” Mr. Newman assured as he accompanied Callum out of the house.

Mrs. Newman followed behind them.

Camryn did not see Callum off, but she stood, facing him as he left.

After the sound of their footsteps had faded, she retreated to her room, shut the door, and locked it. This was the only way she felt secure.

Once Callum had left, Mr. Newman exchanged a glance with his wife, and only then did they head back into the house. They chose not to bother Camryn again and quietly ascended the stairs. After returning to their bedroom and ensuring the door was closed, Mrs. Newman spoke firmly to her husband, “I do not agree with the decision you’ve made. I understand this is all to save Carrie, but I cannot bear the thought of Camryn marrying into the York family.”

She would have preferred death over witnessing such an arrangement unfold. All she wanted was for her beloved Carrie to marry into the Yorks.
