Married at First Sight Chapter 1336

Chapter 1336
Otherwise, even Mrs. Stone would have wanted to bring Jasmine and her son together.
Josh thought to himself, “I was fortunate that Zachary introduced me to Jasmine first.”
Zachary certainly deserved a reward for his matchmaking efforts.
Elisa sighed in relief after escaping from the mothers, expressing her frustration that Serenity and Jasmine had rescued her too late.
“You’re exaggerating,” Serenity remarked, finding the situation amusing. “You even used the word ‘rescue.’”
“The ladies seemed quite easygoing, though,” Jasmine observed with a smile. “Their gazes were so gentle.”
Elisa shuddered at the thought. “They looked at me as if I were their daughter-in-law!”
This comment made Serenity and Jasmine burst into laughter.
“Seren, look!”
Elisa suddenly nudged Serenity and pointed her lips in a certain direction.
“What’s wrong?”
Serenity and Jasmine followed the direction Elisa was pointing.
Jasmine noticed Duncan with an unfamiliar woman.
Serenity wasn’t surprised, as she had seen Duncan and Lily together before. She knew that Lily was the wife candidate chosen by Mrs. Lewis for Duncan.
“There’s a woman next to Duncan,” Elisa remarked. “Don’t he and Liberty…”
Serenity interrupted her, whispering, “Elisa, that’s just our assumption. It’s not necessarily true. My sister and Mr. Lewis are merely friends.”
Mrs. Lewis had no fondness for her sister.
Additionally, her sister had no romantic feelings for Duncan either.
Serenity wanted to avoid any discussions about her sister and Duncan.
Elisa understood her concerns.
“You’re right; it’s just speculation. Do you know that woman? I noticed you didn’t seem surprised at all.”
“I’ve seen her once. She was eating…

During breakfast with Mr. Lewis at my sister’s store, we greeted each other.

“I see,” Serenity replied.

Elisa linked her arm with Serenity’s and said softly, “I don’t think Duncan is good enough for Liberty because of his scarred face. Mrs. Lewis looks down on her as well. It would be better if nothing were happening between them. With my mom here, Liberty could marry a better man if she decides to remarry.”

Serenity smiled and said, “If my sister wants to get married, I’ll keep an eye out too.” She had previously relied on her sister, but now that she had Zachary and a higher status, she wanted to be someone her sister could depend on.

“Let’s go,” Elisa suggested. “I’ll introduce you to my best friend. Her cousin works in education and has established several private schools. The demand for vegetables from students and teachers each day is enormous. Let’s see if we can supply those private schools with vegetables.”

Elisa’s main reason for willingly attending the banquet with her parents was to discuss business. Although they had not yet planted any crops, their farms were in progress, and they would soon be able to grow fruits and vegetables.

Making a business deal takes time, especially since the other party already had a fixed supplier. They were the ones approaching unexpectedly. However, it wouldn’t hurt to meet some new people.

“Okay,” Serenity agreed.

Both she and Jasmine were eager to meet Elisa’s best friend, so they followed her.
