Married at First Sight Chapter 1315

Chapter 1315
“Just be content with what you have. While I have concerns about your marriage, I’m not like that old friend of mine. I’m here to help you find the right girl who fits your character, allowing you the freedom to develop feelings for yourself. I’m showing you more than enough respect.”
“Your parents are irresponsible as well. They only know how to nag you a little without taking any real action. That’s why an old woman like me has to step in and get her hands dirty.”
“I know you all criticize me daily for being overbearing.”
Kevin immediately defended her, saying, “Nana, we’ve never criticized you, especially not for being overbearing. Our nana is the smartest, and we all love you very much.”
Their parents only nagged them about getting married but never took any initiative. They let the old woman do the heavy lifting because they knew the boys respected her most and wouldn’t be upset with anything she did.
Even Zachary, with his temper, ultimately yielded to his nana.
Moreover, Zachary and Serenity were very happy together now, which thrilled their nana. She believed that all her grandsons would find happiness if she took action.
“Stop being a sycophant. I don’t need your flattery. What I want is a daughter-in-law and a great-granddaughter. I’ll reward whoever brings me a great-granddaughter!”
Kevin replied, “You should encourage Zachary and Serenity instead. At least they’re married.”
Hayden and he were not yet together.
“I’ve brought it up to Serenity a few times already, so I can’t mention it again. If I do, it’ll seem like I’m pressuring her to have a baby. Sigh, those two are living so happily now. How could there be no progress?”
Even though Grandma May had stopped urging them to have a child, she still longed for a great-grandchild.
“It hasn’t been that long, and they haven’t even had their wedding yet.”

“There’s no rush, Nana. You don’t need to hurry Zachary and Serenity. Callum might catch up to them from behind.”

Grandma May only voiced her complaints in front of her grandson and refrained from mentioning anything in front of Serenity.

After Grandma May ended the phone call, Zachary and Serenity took a few laps around the neighborhood before heading home to prepare lunch.

Reflecting on his earlier unreasonable outburst, Zachary instructed Mrs. Lane not to assist, deciding to make lunch himself. Mrs. Lane felt uneasy and kept entering and leaving the kitchen, eager to help. Ultimately, she left the kitchen, disheartened, when she noticed Zachary’s expression darkening.

Meanwhile, Serenity, who was tending to the flowers on the balcony, smiled at Mrs. Lane. “Let him cook if that’s what he wants to do. He can handle it.”

“Missus, I’m just… not used to this. I feel guilty for some reason,” Mrs. Lane admitted, struggling with the idea of accepting her salary.

“It’s okay; you’ll get used to it after a few tries,” Serenity reassured her.

Mrs. Lane was left speechless.

Zachary was very fond of Serenity, willing to do anything to make her happy.

Meanwhile, at the Lewis residence, Duncan reluctantly returned home after Lily persistently urged him to come back for lunch with his parents. Mrs. Lewis had already been informed by Lily and had returned to Duncan’s house early. She also called her three other sons to join them.

Their entire family gathered for a meal together.

“It’s quite windy today. Lily, would you like to go for a stroll to help with digestion?” Mrs. Lewis asked with a smile as Lily took her seat.

Mrs. Lewis was thrilled that Lily had managed to convince Duncan to come home, and she felt increasingly confident about setting Lily and Duncan up together.

Duncan. “I intend to go for a walk and enjoy the fresh breeze.”
