Married at First Sight Chapter 1266

Chapter 1266
Liberty responded earnestly, “It’s Mr. Lewis’s lot, and he mentioned that he would charge me a lower rate since I’m Zachary’s sister-in-law. We agreed on eight thousand a month for the rental, and with utilities included, it comes to just under ten thousand.”
Mrs. Lewis felt relieved to learn that her son charged Liberty a fair rental price—at least he wasn’t giving away the shop as an act of charity.
Given Liberty’s connection to Zachary, an eight-thousand-dollar monthly rental seemed reasonable and justifiable.
“That brat is taking your money? You’re Mr. York’s sister-in-law; he should have the decency to let you use the lot for free,” Mrs. Lewis said, intending to provoke Liberty’s response.
Liberty quickly clarified, “Ultimately, business is business, and I believe personal relationships shouldn’t affect it. I wouldn’t feel right using the shop lot if he weren’t charging me rent.”
“So he accepted the rental fee willingly when you offered it?”
“Yes, I paid him in cash last month. He counted it in front of me to ensure everything was correct before leaving. For this month’s rent, he told me to give the payment to his butler.”
Upon hearing this, Mrs. Lewis began to question whether her worries were unfounded.
If the boy did have feelings for Liberty, he likely wouldn’t have charged her rent at all.
“That child… Well, at least there are plenty of people coming and going in this area, so I’m sure your business can thrive even after paying the rent.” She suddenly added, “By the way, where’s your son?”
“Seren took Sonny to her place.”
Mrs. Lewis hummed thoughtfully.
The mutual affection and support between the

The Hunts sisters were certainly admirable.

“It must be exhausting to run a business. You’ve lost quite a bit of weight since I last saw you,” Mrs. Lewis remarked, assessing Liberty from head to toe. She noticed that Liberty appeared significantly slimmer than when they first met.

She had to admit that Liberty looked much better now compared to her previous self. The main reason for this transformation was the vibrant energy she radiated; she had become a highly motivated and confident woman.

Mrs. Lewis concluded that it made sense for her youngest son to develop feelings for Liberty, as she was quite different these days. Her son had always been attracted to confident women who embraced their identities—just like Lily. Mrs. Lewis thought that if she encouraged her son to spend more time with Liberty, he would gradually begin to fall for her.

“It is a bit tiring, but I’m very disciplined. I make sure to exercise daily and watch my diet; that’s how I’ve gradually lost weight. Honestly, I haven’t yet reached my weight loss goal; I aim to get down to a hundred pounds, so I still have about thirty pounds to lose,” Liberty explained.

Running the shop required more energy from her, but she remained committed to her weight loss journey. Her efforts were paying off, as she was losing weight faster than ever before. Currently, she weighed one hundred thirty pounds. She just needed to stay focused a bit longer to achieve her goal.

“Take it easy; it’s good to carry a little extra weight; it helps you age more slowly,” Mrs. Lewis advised.

Liberty responded, “Given my height, a hundred pounds is pretty much my ideal weight.” She had been too thin before her marriage. Perhaps Mrs. Lewis had a point; especially now that she was in her thirties, she should consider…

It is wise to begin implementing some anti-aging measures. Suddenly, Mrs. Lewis’s phone rang. As she reached for it in her pocket, a picture fell out and fluttered to the ground. Liberty instinctively picked it up for her and noticed the person in the photo—a young, charming, and beautiful woman.
