Married at First Sight Chapter 1262

Chapter 1262
Hank shouted from behind the door, “Silence and go home, Chelsea! Don’t come back here; you’ll just stir up trouble!”
Liberty was even more resolute in her fight against his domestic violence, pursuing him several blocks with a kitchen knife.
Had Chelsea forgotten that?
After being scolded by her brother, Chelsea retorted angrily, “Yes, I’m a troublemaker. I just can’t stand that b*tch. My parents are here, so this is my home too. What does that have to do with her? I can come here whenever I want. It’s not like I’m relying on her for anything. If she’s capable, let her pay for her own house. I promise I won’t set foot in her place!”
She was determined to make Jessica’s life miserable!
Jessica lay on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.
Except for the time Liberty caught her in the act and beat her up, she had never felt so humiliated.
She felt both physically and emotionally wounded and deeply wronged.
Hank watched her cry, feeling a mix of heartbreak and irritation.
He had always viewed Jessica as gentle, considerate, and understanding. Moreover, she was young and beautiful. He believed they would be happy together if they married.
However, after marrying Jessica, their family life had become chaotic.
Now, when he looked at Jessica, he no longer saw her as pretty or kind. Instead, she seemed calculating and petty, unwilling to get along with his family for his sake.
She couldn’t even tolerate it when his nephew visited.
Additionally, Jessica didn’t cook or help with housework.
She was far less diligent than Liberty.
After some time, Hank crouched down to lift his wife, helping her sit on the bed. He gently combed her tangled hair and said, “Stop crying, honey. Our home will be renovated soon.”

“Soon. Once the house and the wedding are finished, we’ll move in, and my parents can return to their home,” he said.

“Hank…” Jessica buried herself in his arms, crying bitterly.

She wanted a divorce!

Yet, she couldn’t pursue it just yet.

If she divorced, she would lose her reason to get close to Sonny. Her family was still under surveillance. If that unknown woman got angry, her family would face serious consequences.

Jessica was terrified.

Even more so, she felt regretful.

If she hadn’t interfered in Hank and Liberty’s marriage, she wouldn’t be entangled in this situation, endangering her parents, brothers, and sisters-in-law.

Perhaps this was her punishment.

A consequence for meddling in someone else’s marriage and being a homewrecker.

“I’m at fault. I was wrong,” Hank whispered as he held her close.

For the sake of her family, Jessica dared not seek a divorce now.

Hank was even more fearful of divorce than she was.

Having already been divorced once, he worried that a second divorce would leave him unable to find another partner due to his tarnished reputation.

He used to be Mr. York’s brother-in-law, but after betraying his marriage and divorcing Liberty, who knew how many were waiting to see him fail and live unhappily?

He simply could not afford to divorce again!

Otherwise, everyone would mock him, saying he deserved it and that it was his just punishment!

It was karma!
