Chapter 1260
Chelsea vowed to herself that she would never allow Jessica to live a happy life while she was present!
Jessica paused, turned her head, and asked coldly, “What?”
Chelsea set down the TV remote, got up, and approached her. She noticed the numerous bags in Jessica’s hands. “What did you buy? There are so many bags. Spending is the only thing you know how to do. Both you and Hank are unemployed and have no income. Don’t you understand the importance of being frugal?”
“Everything you eat and use comes from Hank’s funds. You worked for so long but refuse to spend your own money, yet you freely use Hank’s. Do you think his money grows on trees?”
Chelsea criticized Jessica for her lack of frugality while forcefully grabbing the bags from her hands.
“Chelsea, what are you doing?” Hank asked.
Chelsea glared at him and snapped, “Can’t I take a look? Step aside. She saw me when she came in but didn’t even bother to greet me. You’ve spoiled her so much that she shows no respect for others.”
“Hank, you can’t spoil women like her. If you do, she’ll take it for granted. You’ll regret it later.”
Chelsea scolded her brother while rifling through the bags. When she pulled out Jessica’s newly purchased clothes and saw the brand, her expression soured even further.
She shook the clothes and accused Jessica, “Do you think you’re still eighteen? You’re a married woman. Why are you buying such brightly colored clothes? Who do you intend to wear them for?”
“Are you looking for another wealthy man now that my brother is unemployed and has no income? A homewrecker like you has no shame, no honor, and no morals. You’d marry anyone as long as they have money for you to spend.”
Jessica
trembled with anger. Her sister-in-law was the one being shameless. Jessica attempted to reclaim her clothes forcefully, but Chelsea stubbornly held on, insisting, “These clothes fit me. Hand them over.”
“Chelsea Brown, how shameless can you be?” Jessica exclaimed, tugging hard and managing to reclaim only a pair of pants. Infuriated, she scolded Chelsea for her lack of shame. “These are the new clothes my husband bought for me. If you want new clothes, go to your own husband! You think I’m shameless? Look at yourself! You’re the most shameless person here!”
“Do you think you can bully me like you did Liberty? Return my clothes or don’t blame me for being rude. This house is mine now, not yours. I can kick you out anytime!” Chelsea clung tightly to the clothes she had seized and refused to return them, even if Hank asked.
With an air of arrogance, she declared, “Hank is my brother. We’ll be siblings for life, but who do you think you are? Don’t you realize that wives can be replaced? What’s wrong with me wearing clothes that Hank bought? Hank, I’ll be keeping these clothes!”
“Chelsea!” Hank was also frustrated by his sister’s disgraceful behavior.
“Also, this house isn’t yours. My brother pays the rent, so it belongs to him. My parents also live here, which means this is my family home. What right do you have to kick me out? Do you think you’re the lady of the house just because you married Hank?”
“I’m telling you, the real head of this family is my mom. That role can’t be filled by a homewrecker like you.” Chelsea repeatedly used the term “homewrecker,” hitting Jessica where it hurt. After all, it was Hank who pursued her first; she merely accepted his advances. She was not entirely at fault.
fault.
What right did Chelsea have to reprimand her like this?
“Get the hell out!” Jessica shouted, enraged as she lunged at Chelsea. She seized hold of Chelsea, determined to force her sister-in-law out.
