Married at First Sight Chapter 1247

Chapter 1247
The York family had more sons than the Johnson family in Annenburg. Zachary secretly resolved to find a particularly skilled fortune teller to perform a divination for their family. Was there an issue preventing them from having daughters?
“Babe, what do you think of Callum and Camryn now? I believe Callum is asking for trouble.”
Serenity decided to change the subject.
She didn’t want her husband to keep bringing up the idea of having a baby girl, as it stressed her out.
“They seem like a good match. It would be even better if Ms. Newman regained her sight. What do you mean Callum is asking for trouble?”
Zachary was still unaware of what his brother had done.
Serenity explained, “He called the flower shop and asked Camryn to send him a bouquet of flowers. He also told her not to let anyone guide her and insisted that she walk on her own. He shows no consideration for the fact that Camryn is blind.”
“Isn’t that asking for trouble? I bet he’ll regret that decision every day going forward.”
Zachary felt a flush rise to his cheeks at the mention of regretting decisions, as he too had done many things he wished he could change.
“It’s his own funeral. He refuses to learn from the example I set for him. If he comes to us for help in the future, I won’t entertain it.”
Serenity looked at him and smiled.
Zachary knew what she was smiling about and felt a mix of annoyance and embarrassment. He pulled her into his arms, held her head in place, and leaned down to kiss her, silencing her laughter once more.
Callum suspected that his brother and sister-in-law were discussing him, but he didn’t care.
When they first got married, Callum and his brothers eagerly speculated about the couple. Everyone wondered if Zachary would ultimately be won over by Serenity.
What Callum regretted the most was that he…

He did not place a bet with his brothers. If he had, he would have won. He wagered that Zachary would fall in love, but it seemed that all his brothers also believed Zachary would be won over by Serenity. Unfortunately, his oldest brother lacked the resilience; if he had been stronger, he could have gone eight to ten years without falling for Serenity. Instead, Zachary succumbed in less than six months!

Callum exited the office building with Camryn, under the watchful gaze of numerous employees. Camryn sensed the stares upon her but remained focused and calmly walked alongside Callum.

“Mr. Callum,” she said, “my shop assistant is still waiting for me outside. I’ll go inform her to head back to the store first. Why don’t we meet in front of the building?”

Though Camryn couldn’t see the expressions on everyone’s faces, she imagined that following Callum with a bouquet of flowers might lead to misunderstandings.

“It’s dinner time now, and there are a lot of people around. You might accidentally bump into someone since you can’t see well. Let’s take my car instead, and I can stop for you to talk to your assistant. Isn’t that more convenient than you walking out alone?”

Camryn fell silent; she did not want to ride in Callum’s car. However, after contemplating her situation, she realized she would be treating Callum to dinner anyway, so she would eventually need to sit in his car after leaving the office. This thought helped her calm down.

A few minutes later, Callum noticed a girl on a motorcycle watching the comings and goings of people at the building. Assuming she was Camryn’s assistant, he stopped the car as he approached her.

He rolled down the window and asked, “Are you the girl who works at Spring Blossoms?”

“Yes—wait, Boss,” the girl replied, her eyes widening as she spotted Camryn sitting in the passenger seat.

“You should head back to the store first. I’m treating Mr. York to dinner.”
Camryn instructed the girl to return to the store upon hearing her voice, realizing there was no reason to keep waiting.
The girl understood that Camryn was sending the flowers to secure a large business order. Since Camryn mentioned treating Callum to dinner, it indicated that she had successfully secured the order and was likely repaying him with the meal.
Not giving it much thought, the girl rode back to the store as Callum drove away.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at Wiltspoon Hotel.
