Married at First Sight Chapter 1242

Chapter 1242
Why did the COO tell a blind person to send him flowers?
The receptionist silently scolded Callum while maintaining a smile on her face. She addressed Camryn, saying, “How may I assist you today, Ms. Newman?”
“I’m fine, thank you.”
Camryn recalled the distance to the elevator entrance and decided not to trouble the receptionist.
“Alright. Please feel free to approach us if you need any assistance, Ms. Newman,” the receptionist replied with a smile. She observed as Camryn held the bouquet of flowers and slowly made her way forward, carefully scanning her surroundings with her cane. Once Camryn was out of sight, the receptionist returned to her post.
She then commented to her colleague, “How could the COO ask a blind woman to send him flowers?”
“Could he possibly be interested in Ms. Newman? We’ve been with the company for two years, and I’ve never seen him show interest in any woman before. No young woman has come to the company looking for him either.”
The receptionist chuckled. “I doubt it. Perhaps he doesn’t realize that Ms. Newman is blind.”
The COO was the second young master of the York family. How could someone of his stature be interested in a blind woman?
However, that was his concern, not theirs.
When Camryn entered the elevator, it was empty.
She fumbled to locate the numbered buttons, running her fingers over them for a moment before determining that this elevator couldn’t take her directly to the sixty-sixth floor. Instead, she pressed the highest number available.
As the elevator reached her floor, she stepped out quickly.
Several people waiting to use the elevator were present.
Camryn inquired about which elevator would take her directly to the sixty-sixth floor.
Noticing that Camryn was facing the wrong direction, the person…

While holding a walking cane and speaking to him, he assumed she was blind. Unable to resist, he waved his hand in front of her eyes. When Camryn did not react, he confirmed his suspicion that she could not see.

“Follow me. I’ll take you there,” the man said kindly.

Camryn turned towards the sound of his voice and followed him. He led her to another elevator and pressed the open button for her. As she stepped inside, he informed the people already inside, “This lady wants to go to the sixty-sixth floor. She can’t see.”

Someone inside helped her press the button for the sixty-sixth floor and asked, “Do you need me to take you there?”

“Thank you. Does this elevator go straight to the sixty-sixth floor?” she replied.

“Yes, the highest it goes is the sixty-seventh floor.”

Camryn hummed in acknowledgment, thanked the man again, and politely declined his offer to accompany her. She was concerned that Callum would be displeased if he saw someone escorting her upstairs and not introducing her business to the Marshall family.

As the elevator ascended, the other passengers exited one by one. Soon, Camryn was the only person remaining in the elevator. She listened intently to the sounds around her. Once she was sure no one else was around, she concluded that she was the only one heading to the sixty-sixth floor, meaning she could exit when the elevator doors opened next.

The doors opened again in less than two minutes, and Camryn quickly stepped out. Remembering Serenity’s advice, she walked slowly after leaving the elevator.

“Hello, who are you?” a gentle male voice called out, causing her to stop.

“I’m from the florist. Mr. Callum York called my store and asked me to deliver a bouquet of flowers,” Camryn explained.

The purpose of her visit and her identity.
