Married at First Sight Chapter 1240

Chapter 1240
“Liberty, I’ll head to Zachary’s office and wait for him to finish work.”
As she drove, Serenity informed her sister and then turned to her nephew, “Sonny, would you like to come with me to pick up your uncle?”
Before Sonny could respond, Liberty interjected, “Zachary will think of him as a third wheel if you take him.”
Sonny immediately recalled his Uncle Zack’s earlier comment about him. Shaking his head, he replied, “I don’t want to be a third wheel, Aunt Ser. I’m Sonny.”
“Exactly. Sonny is Sonny. He’s not a third wheel. Don’t let your uncle’s words bother you,” Serenity reassured him.
Liberty chimed in with a smile, “Just drop us off at our rental place. I’m taking him shopping for ingredients for tomorrow.”
“Alright then,” Serenity agreed, not wanting to push the matter further.
She drove her sister and nephew back to their rental apartment and watched them take the elevator upstairs before she drove away.
Upon arriving at York Corporation, she encountered Camryn.
Camryn had come to York Corporation alone. Using her white cane, she carried a bouquet of flowers and made her way into the office building, guided by the security guard on duty.
Seeing her, Serenity parked the car and walked quickly toward her.
“Ms. Camryn.”
Camryn halted upon hearing Serenity’s voice. Turning to face her, she smiled. “It’s you, Mrs. York.”
“Yes, it’s me. Who are you delivering the flowers to? Where is your employee?”
Camryn explained that her employees would handle the deliveries while she managed the shop, as delivery was not a suitable task for her due to her vision impairment.
“The flowers are for Mr. York, specifically Mr. Callum. He asked me to make the delivery,” Camryn replied candidly.

Callum informed her that he would recommend her services to the Marshalls if she personally delivered the flowers to him. The Marshalls were hosting a ball at the Wiltspoon Hotel in two days and required flowers to adorn the event hall. If everything went smoothly, the Marshalls would request that the hotel procure the flowers from Spring Blossoms. This was a business opportunity.

Eager to seize the chance, Camryn decided to take the risk and personally deliver the flowers to Callum. Serenity furrowed her brow; this was Callum’s decision, and he would likely regret it sooner or later.

“I’ll take you to see Mr. Callum,” Serenity kindly offered.

Camryn expressed her gratitude but declined the offer, stating, “Mr. Callum said I must walk to his office myself. I can’t let anyone accompany me, but I can ask for directions.”

Serenity was left speechless. Did the York boys have a habit of sabotaging their own chances when pursuing their wives?

“Mrs. York, I must be nearing the entrance, right? The security guard mentioned it was several hundred feet away. I’ve counted my steps, and I believe I’m about a hundred feet from the door.”

As Serenity looked at the office building, she estimated it to be about one hundred fifty feet away.

“Yes, you have approximately one hundred fifty feet left to go. There are steps leading up to the entrance, so take your time. Once inside, walk straight ahead, and the receptionist will ask your purpose for being here. Just inform her that you’re delivering flowers to Callum.

“After you enter, walk about one hundred thirty feet and turn right for the elevator. I believe Callum’s office is on the sixty-sixth floor.”

Serenity provided Camryn with the directions. Camryn already knew which floor Callum’s office was on, as he had informed her during their phone conversation. Her concern was navigating the elevator.

She had been alone since losing her sight. “After you exit the elevator, take a few steps forward and turn right. Callum’s secretary will guide you to his office from there.” Callum was essentially digging his own grave by insisting that Camryn navigate her way to his office. Serenity was more than willing to grant Callum what he sought, providing him with an opportunity to become his own worst enemy.
