I asked a student of the miracle healer to treat Ms. Camryn’s eyes.”
“Miracle healer?”
The term didn’t seem very scientific.
Since entering Zachary’s world, Serenity had encountered many unfamiliar concepts and individuals.
It was clear that her previous life had been quite simple.
“The miracle healer is a highly skilled medical doctor whose name is unknown to us. What we do know is that he is a genius. He doesn’t work in a hospital or a health center.”
“He only sees patients he chooses. If someone doesn’t meet his personal preferences, he won’t even examine them. However, he has successfully healed those he does see, which is how he earned that title.”
“If I had to guess, he’s probably around my nana’s age. It must be difficult for him to move around at his age, as we haven’t heard much about him lately, but he does have a student.”
“That student, Dr. Carden, is also quite renowned. She saved Mr. Lafayette during the power struggle between the Hamiltons and Lafayettes in Meadspring last year. Her actions led to the downfall of the Hamilton family, resulting in their arrest by the police.”
“Later, I heard that Dr. Carden became close with Lee and Tim from the Johnson family, but not much has been said since.”
Since Lilian Carden did not return to Annenburg with the Johnson family, the Yorks were unable to locate her.
“Dr. Carden has a good relationship with the women of the Lafayettes and the Johnsons. However, Mr. Lafayette and his wife are currently on their honeymoon. We’ll see if we can find any information about Dr. Carden from Mrs. Young–Johnson.”
Serenity listened closely and asked, “You mentioned taking me on a trip to Annenburg—when will that happen? I want to meet Mrs. Young–Johnson. I’ve heard stories about her.”
“She’s like a heroine from a book. Her life story was…
“Movie-like. Everyone wants to be her.” Serenity learned a little about Jane from Zachary and Elisa. She believed that Jane enjoyed the best of both worlds, being deeply loved by her in-laws and her family.
