Married at First Sight Chapter 1227

Chapter 1227
Jasmine said, “You must introduce me to the girl who wins Julian’s heart. I’m intrigued by the type of woman who can tame him.”
Josh leaned close to her ear, kissed her cheek, and said in a husky voice, “You’re now part of the Bucham family. We will be the first to know when Julian finds someone.”
Jasmine nudged him gently. “The elders are here.”
Nevertheless, he kissed her again.
While Jasmine was bold, she felt shy about any display of intimacy in front of the elders.
“The closer we are, the happier they will be,” he remarked.
Jasmine glanced at the older generation. They were engrossed in a debate about the engagement party date, seemingly unaware of the couple.
“Let’s go for a stroll,” Jasmine suggested.
Josh eagerly agreed.
“Mom, Josh and I are going for a walk,” Jasmine informed her mother before pulling Josh out the door.
The floral arrangement at the entrance sparkled under the night sky. Josh had adorned the roses with colorful fairy lights, which illuminated beautifully once night fell.
The streetlights also flickered on, casting light on the luxury cars parked along the roadway. Jasmine turned to Josh and said, “I initially wanted to find a man of my social standing to be a landlady. I imagined money would flow into my bank account even in my sleep. I never expected to be with you.”
“I own numerous properties and shops. My money is just sitting in the bank. We could invest it. You can still be a landlady. The properties under my name can be rented out, allowing you to collect rent. You can spend the money however you wish, or if you prefer, you could use it to buy land and build houses to rent out. Create your own wealth.”

“Grow,” Jasmine replied. “Buying land and building houses is expensive now. When the real estate market first took off, setting up a rental property was much more affordable. It was a sound business decision since rents have remained stable.” Her generation witnessed the property boom firsthand as prices skyrocketed.

“Real estate isn’t as lucrative as it used to be. Didn’t you invest with Serenity and Ms. Stone? You can earn rental income to reinvest. Just do what you want; don’t worry about potential losses. I’ve got your back,” Josh assured her.

Jasmine felt cherished. She recognized that Josh echoed the same sentiments Zachary had expressed to Serenity. With a supportive man by her side, she had nothing to fear and could pursue her ambitions.

Leaning her head on Josh’s shoulder, Jasmine asked, “Did I ever tell you that I love you?”

“I think you did, or maybe you didn’t. Regardless, I want to hear it from you again,” he replied.

Jasmine smiled and declared, “I love you!”

Stopping in his tracks, Josh pulled her into his arms, gazing at her with intense affection. His response of “I love you too” was lost in their passionate kiss.

Jasmine’s best friends, Serenity and Elisa, noticed the photos and videos Jasmine posted on Facebook. Serenity was the first to learn about Josh’s proposal and quickly congratulated her in the comments. Just that morning, Serenity had asked Jasmine when she could expect wedding bells. To her astonishment, by evening, Josh had already popped the question.

Alone at her shop, Serenity viewed Jasmine’s Facebook post and felt genuine happiness for her friend. This prompted her to reflect on her own relationship with Zachary. They had obtained their marriage license from the start, yet Zachary had never formally proposed to her. A pang of jealousy stirred within her.

He has not yet replied to her text message. Only God knows if his lack of response is due to work commitments or jealousy.
