Married at First Sight Chapter 1224

Chapter 1224
Noticing that Jasmine was taking her time to respond to Josh, Mrs. Lowe remarked to Mrs. Sox, “Why isn’t Jasmine saying anything? Josh is such a wonderful man. She won’t find another like him. I wish I could speak for her and say yes.”
Shawn interjected, “She shouldn’t rush her response. She needs time to think it over. If she answers too quickly, it might seem like she’s overly eager.”
Jasmine, feeling happy about the proposal, decided to stop playing coy. She reached for the roses from Josh and declared, “Yes, Josh. I’ll marry you!”
Josh was ecstatic.
He retrieved the engagement ring and took Jasmine’s hand to place it on her finger.
Jasmine pulled him closer.
Josh wrapped his arms around her, lowered his gaze to meet hers, and kissed her softly.
A thunderous applause erupted.
With her eyes closed, Jasmine savored the brief moment of warm breaths mingling before opening her eyes to beam at Josh as he held her.
“When did you start planning this?” she whispered, nestled in his arms.
“I’ve been preparing for a while now. I thought this would be the perfect idea. Do you like it, Jas?”
Jasmine lifted her chin to look at him and replied with a smile, “I wouldn’t have said yes if I didn’t. It doesn’t matter how you propose; as long as your feelings for me are genuine, I will never turn you down.”
Jasmine felt a surge of joy, knowing he went through the effort to make the moment romantic. It demonstrated how much he cared.
“No wonder you hadn’t called or texted me. You were planning a surprise.”
Josh gently kissed her forehead and said affectionately, “I wanted to surprise you. I didn’t allow Drake to spill the news over the phone.”
“That troublemaker kept saying it was something good. He left me guessing, but I never imagined you were going to propose.”

Jasmine was enveloped in love and joy. She locked eyes with Josh; they were completely focused on each other. It took a moment for her to realize that her family and neighbors were watching. Blushing, Jasmine pushed Josh away, feeling both happy and embarrassed—perhaps a mix of both.

“I want to take some pictures,” she said, eager to capture this sweet moment. She snapped photos of the floral display, the ring on her finger, and one of herself with Josh.

After the mini photo shoot, she intertwined her fingers with Josh’s and approached her parents. “Mom, Dad, I’m engaged! You can finally marry me off.” Laughter erupted among the crowd.

Mrs. Sox smiled at Josh, saying, “Thank you, Josh. Thank you.”

Jasmine chimed in, “Mom, it sounds like you think nobody wants me… Josh isn’t a charity case.”

“Your blind dates didn’t go well, and your aunt and I have been worried about your future because no one seemed interested. At least Josh wants you now. You should be nicer to him,” Mrs. Sox teased, pretending to lecture her daughter.

Josh grinned and added, “Mom, I want to thank Jasmine for agreeing to marry me. Otherwise, I’d be single for life.”

After the successful proposal, Josh began calling Mrs. Sox “Mom.” She was absolutely thrilled. They all knew what a great guy Josh was and had witnessed his care for Jasmine. Now that he had finally proposed, Mrs. Sox couldn’t stop beaming. Her daughter had found her happily ever after.
