Chapter 1211
Serenity said, “Because I was the one who told him to pluck your hair.”
“You told him to do it? Are you insane? Why would you want to pluck my hair? How could that little runt follow your orders? Serenity, did you offer Noah a lot of incentives?”
She provided benefits to his youngest grandson but not to her own grandfather. It was evident that raising a girl was pointless; she didn’t know how to care for her grandfather after becoming wealthy.
“I heard you spreading rumors that my dad wasn’t your biological child. He passed away over ten years ago, so he can’t defend himself against these claims. As his daughter, I must speak on his behalf.”
“Under inheritance law, both Mom and you can inherit a portion of Dad’s assets. The outcome would be the same whether we go to court or negotiate. You wouldn’t be in this predicament if you weren’t so greedy.”
Serenity pulled out the DNA test results. “I instructed Noah to pluck your hair for a DNA test. Dad cannot take the test with you, but my results will be the same. I just obtained the results today.”
“The results confirm that we are related by blood. You may not understand what that implies, but your grandsons will. Feel free to ask them to explain it to you.”
The Hunt family was left speechless.
“Do you still want to claim that my dad isn’t your biological child? My parents treated both you and Grandmom with kindness when they were alive. Do you have hearts of stone? How can you say my dad isn’t your son just because you want to give my house to your second grandson?”
“Honestly, I wished my dad wasn’t your biological son. That might have made it easier to comprehend. The way you treat my sister and me with such heartlessness is as if you aren’t our grandparents at all.”
Old Mr. Hunt looked at the
He reported to Serenity and turned his head to look at his children and grandchild. For a moment, he was at a loss for words.
He was fully aware of whether Scott was his biological son. However, since Scott had passed away over a decade ago, they felt free to say whatever they wanted without fear of rebuttal.
“What’s a DNA test, Mike?” Old Mr. Hunt asked, after a brief pause.
Mike appeared somewhat pale. He had known from the start that the rumors his grandparents were spreading would not hold up, as a simple DNA test could easily disprove them.
His grandparents refused to listen, insisting that Serenity could not do anything unless they agreed to a blood test. However, Serenity unexpectedly used Noah to collect Old Mr. Hunt’s hair for a DNA test, and now that the results were in, what could they possibly say?
“Serenity, please give me some time to talk with Granddad,” Mike asked her, before closing the door and guiding his grandfather back into the room.
Ten minutes later, Mike opened the door again and said, “Call your sister. Let’s find a place to sit down and discuss this. We need to resolve this today.”
They needed to stop causing trouble. They were the ones being unreasonable in this situation.
With the York family backing Serenity, they had no chance of fighting back, especially since Serenity was in the right.
