Married at First Sight Chapter 1173

Chapter 1173
Liberty would have lost her son to the kidnapper had she loosened her grip even slightly.
Now inside Elisa’s car, Liberty continued to hold her son tightly, her face pale with fear.
The lingering terror still haunted Serenity.
Elisa called her brother, and as soon as he answered, she said, “Clive, send all our bodyguards to pick us up from Wiltspoon Zoo. There’s a kidnapper on the loose, and Sonny was nearly taken.”
“I don’t think I can drive right now. What if someone stops the car and kidnaps Sonny?”
This was Elisa’s first experience with such a chaotic and dangerous situation.
Though she often acted cocky and unafraid, her legs felt weak when Sonny was almost taken.
It would be nearly impossible to catch the kidnapper in the chaos if Sonny was truly abducted…
The thought drained her color. Her limbs shook as she struggled to calm down; she was not in a position to drive. The last thing she wanted was to be involved in a car accident.
“What? Is Sonny okay? I’ll send security right away.”
Clive was taken aback to learn that Sonny had nearly been kidnapped.
Ignoring the important meeting he had scheduled, Clive left his office and called his security team to head to the zoo.
The two bodyguards in the shadows had already reached out to Zachary. As soon as Serenity regained her composure, she called Zachary.
While Clive rushed over with his security team, Zachary drove to the zoo with his own detail.
“Sonny.”
Serenity stroked Sonny’s back, trying to calm her sister. “It’s okay now, Liberty. It’s okay.”
She nearly put her nephew in danger due to her own carelessness.
“Sonny would have been taken if I hadn’t…

wasn’t strong. He was a big guy too.” Liberty mumbled under her breath, feeling relieved that her workouts had helped her shed some pounds. As she did all the manual work at the diner, she was strong enough to hold onto Sonny tightly. “Seren, thank goodness you can fight,” she said, grateful that her sister had taken up kickboxing.

The moment Serenity sensed something was wrong, she kicked the man, causing him to flee when he realized he couldn’t take Sonny. Serenity then embraced Sonny in a huge cuddle. Confused by the situation, the little boy quietly allowed his mother to hold him. Now in his aunt’s arms, Sonny asked, “What happened to Lucas, Aunt Ser?”

“It’s fine, Sonny. Don’t be scared,” Serenity reassured him, tenderly caressing his head. “He’ll be okay.” Serenity felt thankful to Zachary for assigning bodyguards to protect her both during the day and at night. She shuddered to think what might have happened today without their presence.

“It’s best not to stick around when something like that happens. Things can escalate quickly,” she advised, noting that this was an important lesson for parents with children. The Browns had been too busy watching the commotion instead of looking after Lucas, which made him an easy target.

Although the kidnapper was quickly identified, many events were unfolding simultaneously at the aquarium. The kidnapper likely belonged to an organization, and the Browns lacked the resources to save Lucas. Setting aside their differences, Serenity ordered two bodyguards to rescue Lucas and pondered what might have happened next.

“We’re safe now, Seren. You should ask them to check if Lucas has been found. Chelsea may be a terrible person, but she’s still a mother. I can understand that because I’m…

“Sonny’s mother must be devastated. I can only imagine the panic and pain Chelsea is experiencing.” Liberty wished her sister could dispatch the bodyguards to search for Lucas. Since they were all on the trip together, Liberty felt it was vital to check on the others before venturing off. Ultimately, Serenity decided to leave a bodyguard with Liberty and Sonny in the car while she and Elisa reentered the zoo with another bodyguard to assist in the search for Lucas.
