Chapter 1172
Liberty held her son tightly.
Jessica sensed the plan would fail when Liberty clutched Sonny, as the York family’s bodyguards escorted the group out of the aquarium.
“Lucas! Lucas!”
Chelsea’s frantic cries jolted Jessica from her thoughts. A large man seized Lucas and bolted.
Jessica was stunned.
Had they mistaken the child?
“Honey! Hank! Go after them! That man took Lucas!”
With no time to witness the commotion, Chelsea attempted to chase the man who had taken Lucas while calling for her husband and brother’s assistance.
Realizing Lucas had been kidnapped, the Browns tried to follow but were unable to navigate through the throngs of people.
“A kidnapper! My child has been taken! It’s that tall man! That’s him! He took my child!”
Chelsea’s face drained of color in fear.
Unable to push through the crowd, she shouted desperately.
Upon hearing about the kidnapping, all the parents, who had come for the show with their children, clung to their kids and rushed out of the aquarium, further escalating the chaos.
Some compassionate individuals attempted to rescue Chelsea’s son.
The man who had taken Lucas was moving too fast, and it appeared that someone had cleared a path for his escape.
“Serenity! Serenity! He took Lucas! Please help me save my son!”
Chelsea squeezed through the crowd and yelled for Serenity and Liberty when she spotted them.
Despite their differences, Serenity refused to stand by during such a crisis and allow a kidnapper to take Lucas.
However, instead of rushing to rescue him herself, she instructed the two bodyguards to pursue the man and retrieve Lucas.
As the bodyguards chased after the kidnapper, Liberty felt a sudden force tearing
her son slipping from her grasp. Acting swiftly, Liberty tightened her hold on her son and refused to let go. Serenity turned back just in time to see a man in black attempting to snatch Sonny from her sister. Without hesitation, she kicked the man to thwart his attempt. Elisa joined Liberty in safeguarding Sonny. “Liberty, we need to leave now,” she urged. Sensing the gravity of the situation, Serenity and Elisa formed a protective barrier around Liberty and Sonny as they made their escape.
Amid the chaos at the aquarium, someone had alerted the police. The zoo’s security guards were the first to arrive, followed shortly by officers from the nearest police station. A few police cars soon reached the scene. However, Serenity’s primary concern was getting her sister and nephew out of the zoo safely. The situation was precarious. The Browns were screaming and shouting, claiming that their child had been kidnapped.
As Serenity, Liberty, and Elisa exited the premises, two additional bodyguards who had been discreetly watching over them stepped forward to escort the group. The mastermind behind the disturbance realized that while their diversion had been effective, kidnapping Sonny now seemed unlikely given the presence of Mrs. York’s bodyguards and the police. Serenity was also well-trained in self-defense, adding to their security. With the bodyguards nearby and the police now present, their plan could no longer proceed, and escaping the zoo became the priority.
Under the protection of the bodyguards, Serenity’s group managed to exit the zoo safely and reach Elisa’s car. Throughout the ordeal, Liberty clung tightly to her son, fearful of what could have happened.
Consequences.
