Married at First Sight Chapter 1151

Chapter 1151
Upon reflection, Duncan possessed a net worth in the hundreds of millions. Everything he purchased was high-quality and costly, so it was understandable that he didn’t know how to ask for a discount.
Liberty kept her thoughts to herself.
Duncan’s spending habits were irrelevant to her; she was merely his tenant.
“Aunt Ser, when will I have a little sister?” Sonny asked innocently.
Serenity served her nephew some food. “I’m not sure. Even if I were to get pregnant, it could be a little brother instead.”
She had been discussing with Zachary how the York family historically had only male children.
She suspected that the York family might be destined to have no daughters.
Sonny pondered this for a moment and replied, “Aunt Ser, I want a little sister. I don’t want a brother.”
“Why don’t you want a little brother?”
“A brother can’t wear skirts like me.”
Serenity burst out laughing.
Noticing her sister picking at her food and avoiding meat, she said, “Liberty, you’ve been waking up early and staying up late every day. You must be exhausted. You should eat more nutritious food. You can’t keep losing weight.”
“I try not to eat too much meat at dinner. I still have to go for a jog later. If I eat more, I’ll have to run several more laps,” Liberty explained.
Liberty had slimmed down considerably since before her divorce, but she still appeared heavier compared to Serenity, who consistently maintained a model-like figure.
Ultimately, Serenity gave up trying to persuade her sister to eat more.
“I’m used to eating this much. I’ve been following the dietician’s meal plans and exercising regularly. I achieved this result after a lot of effort, and I can’t let that go to waste,” Liberty stated as she glanced at her sister.

She looked at her sister’s body with envy and said with a smile, “I’ll be sure to manage my weight from now on and maintain a model-like figure like yours. I refuse to let myself eat until I become a two-hundred-pound person.”

What she didn’t realize was that she had already become exactly that.

Logically, she should have felt upset and lost her appetite. Her mother-in-law and sister-in-law constantly nagged her, and her relationship with her husband had soured. Despite all this, she continued to eat and sleep well.

Fortunately, she began to control her eating habits and became more active. As a result, her weight began to drop.

Liberty aimed to stop losing weight once she reached one hundred pounds. She didn’t want to be too thin, as that would make her appear older. At over thirty, she believed a middle-aged person should have a bit of extra weight as a sign of contentment.

“I kickbox regularly, which burns a lot of calories. That’s why I don’t gain weight easily,” she explained.

Serenity added, “However, I’ve gained a few pounds too. Zachary has been feeding me well, so I need to hit the gym every day to exercise as well.”

“That’s just happy weight,” Liberty remarked, pleased that Serenity and her husband had a strong relationship.

Having experienced a failed marriage, she hoped her sister could enjoy a better life.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

“Mom, Aunt Ser, I’ll get the door!” Sonny exclaimed, sliding down from his chair and running to open it.

Serenity followed her nephew closely.

Sonny approached the door and stood on tiptoes, but despite several attempts, he still couldn’t reach the doorknob. He turned to Serenity with bright eyes.

With a smile, Serenity lifted him so he could reach the doorknob and open the door.

When the door swung open, Zachary stood there. “Uncle Zak!” Sonny exclaimed.
