That thought brought her comfort.
While Sam and Mrs. Lane whispered outside, Serenity was oblivious to their conversation. Zachary guided her into the main house, and she was taken aback by what she found inside.
The house was exquisitely decorated in a romantic style, with a vibrant array of balloons and flowers adding splashes of color throughout the space. A red carpet stretched out on the floor, leading towards the staircase. She suspected that the end of the carpet marked the entrance to his bedroom.
Flower petals were scattered beside the carpet, enhancing the romantic and enchanting atmosphere.
In addition to the balloons and flowers, there were numerous photos of her and Zachary captured during their everyday lives. One showed them grocery shopping, another depicted them sharing dinner, and yet another featured them enjoying the garden while swinging together. In essence, the pictures beautifully chronicled their moments as a couple.
Serenity had no idea when these pictures were printed or when they were taken.
However, the romantic ambiance and the visual memories transported her down memory lane. Among the ups and downs they experienced together, Serenity chose to focus on the good, while Zachary willingly took on the burdens of the bad for her.
Observing her expression, Zachary realized his plan had succeeded when he saw the joy and wonder on her face. He had put a lot of thought into creating a romantic atmosphere and sought help from everyone to set it up. His wife was truly impressed.
