Married at First Sight Chapter 1094

Chapter 1094
Carrie became overly confident and neglected to delete the call history that contained the recorded conversation.
Zachary and his wife left the remaining matters to the police.
Once home, Zachary stayed close to Serenity, following her every move.
He was her shadow as Serenity grabbed her pajamas to head to the bathroom.
“Zachary, Mr. York, just share what’s on your mind. We’re married; you can be honest with me about anything,” Serenity said.
She paused at the bathroom door, leaned against the frame, and regarded Zachary with a teasing smile. “You’ve become my shadow since we returned from giving our statements. You’re following me everywhere.”
“Seren, please don’t leave home without a bodyguard. I’ll assign four to ensure your safety around the clock. I promise they’ll only report to me if you’re in danger. They won’t be there to spy on you.”
“I know you can handle yourself, but what if a professional is hired next time? You could get hurt.”
Zachary recalled the two incidents when Serenity had been confronted on the road. The first time, they weren’t speaking, and he hadn’t had anyone nearby to assist her because he didn’t want to compromise his cover. By that point, Serenity had already dealt with the thugs herself.
Tonight marked the second incident.
This time, the attackers were more aggressive than those sent by Noah. Fortunately, he had eyes watching over her in the dark, and the bodyguards were able to keep her safe.
“Did you assign bodyguards to follow me? I don’t mind having them around,” Serenity said.
“That’s just two of them. I want to add two more, so I’d like your input on that.”
Zachary didn’t plan to remove the original two.

bodyguards from their assignment. However, he could add two more, placing them in the open with Serenity. This would act as a deterrent for anyone intending to harm her; they would think twice knowing she had a security detail.

“You should bring along two or four bodyguards during the day to discourage potential attackers. They wouldn’t dare pull something like tonight,” he suggested.

Serenity could manage the protection in the dark, but having two or four bodyguards openly following her would make her feel overly scrutinized.

On second thought, the two bodyguards lurking in the shadows were essentially monitoring her every move as well.

After a pause, she responded, “Alright. I can agree to that, but I won’t accept more than two bodyguards. I don’t need four. Not many are as impulsive and reckless as Carrie.”

With Serenity’s agreement, Zachary felt a wave of relief. “You can’t be too careful. You’re quite the envy of many now, so caution is essential.”

“I’ve chosen four bodyguards for you, and since you’ll only be taking two, I’ll send the other two to watch over your sister’s breakfast diner,” he continued.

“We can’t let our guard down with Mr. Newman and his wife involved. Carrie will face legal consequences for what happened tonight. The crime she committed will likely result in jail time, and her parents won’t view this as just punishment for their daughter.”

“They’ll likely blame you and see you as responsible for her downfall. They could seek revenge, but since you’re my wife, they probably won’t have that opportunity. Who’s to say they won’t redirect their anger toward those you care about most?”

“Like your sister and Sonny.”

The people who meant the most to Serenity were her sister and her nephew. A three-year-old boy like Sonny was an easy target as well. Serenity knew she could never forgive herself if anything were to happen to Sonny, especially if it were due to her negligence.

Zachary’s explanation prompted Serenity to reflect. She responded, “We’ll follow your suggestion. Mr. Lewis has security guards patrolling the streets, and my sister and Sonny are safe in the diner, but what if Sonny were to leave my sister’s sight for even a moment?”

Serenity let her words linger in the air.
