Its a new day. I ended up telling my sister what was eating me up. Her advice was for me to give her some space until she comes around. What if she didn’t come around though? I sighed at that thought. It’s Saturday today. It’s payday. I checked on my phone and my money is already in. I can go buy groceries and new school uniform for my sister. I quickly got up from the bed and prepared myself. I wore black formal pants and a white short sleeve t-shirt and my black carvella. I wore my watch and brushed my head then went to the house. I greeted and my mom dished up for me,the flour porridge with tea-powder milk, Rama and obviously with sugar. Mhh,my favorite.
Qhawe : can I see your uniform again?
Thembelihle : I’m going to be late bhuti,I have a class.
Qhawe : I might buy it for you.
Her face beams as she ran off to her room,she comes back holding her backpack and a paper on her hand. She gives it to me and kissed my cheek and mom’s too then left.
Mom : you made her even more happy.
Qhawe : she deserves to be Happy. Let me call these tens and transfer money to her school’s account.
She smiles at me,I called the number and found out that the uniform is still available. I transferred money to their account and continued eating.
Qhawe : mama we can go buy groceries.
Mom : is it payday perhaps?
Qhawe : yes mom. Now let’s go
Mom : (frowns)I’ll buy groceries. You said you’re rebuilding. Son I don’t wanna put you under pressure.
Qhawe : okay at least let’s go buy food that will last us until you get paid.
Mom : only 7 days left and there’s still food. If we need anything we’ll inform you.
Qhawe : okay then I’ll go buy building materials
Mom : oh uhm… Can you get your sister new school shoes? The old ones don’t fit anymore
Qhawe : no problem. I’ll see you when I come back
I placed my dish in the sink and went to the mall. I bought food that might last us for that 7 days and then… Wait,that’s her. That’s Naomi. She’s so beautiful,she’s wearing a light blue short tight dress and white sneakers. She’s with her friend or sister carrying The Fix and Mr Price Plastics. I sighed. She looks my way and stops walking. She hands the handbag to her friend and walks to me. Where is she going? She gets to me and smiles
Naomi : Mr Q
Qhawe : Naomi
Naomi : you said you’re heading to school to attend the grade 12s.
Qhawe : yeah I’m heading there after my shopping. They have a timetable for today and I will attend them after their break time.
Naomi : noted. I got more study guides from my friend over there,they’re different from the ones you shared with us so I was wondering if you can remove that thing of “only admins can share messages” for a while and let me share those study guides.
Qhawe : I’ll do that. Who’s your class RCL member?
Naomi : I haven’t asked anyone about that,but I will.
Qhawe : okay,you’ll have to find them and communicate with them,I’ll add them as group admins and you’ll share things with them.

Qhawe : I’ll do that. Who’s your class RCL member?
Naomi : I haven’t asked anyone about that,but I will.
Qhawe : okay,you’ll have to find them and communicate with them,I’ll add them as group admins and you’ll share things with her and she’ll share them on the group. Your exams will be starting soon,I hope you have started studying.
Naomi : we haven’t covered all the topics yet…
Qhawe : that’s why I started with topics with the highest marks for term 1. For both chemistry and physics. We still have 12 days to make up for. Study too. It was nice to see you Naomi. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

He said that and walked away from me. 12 days? I walked back to Nothando and took my handbag from her.
Nothando : are you okay?
Naomi : yes,I just went there to say hi(smiles) breakfast?
Nothando : again? Aaah come on Naomi. Okay at least let’s take some pictures before we could go and eat ‘again’.
We took a lot of pictures and we got ourselves a meal at McDonald’s. We went back home. I enjoyed my day today I just didn’t think I’ll see Mr Q. He was so formal with me.
“thats what you wanted”,my subconscious says to me and I roll my eyes. Yes but I didn’t think it’ll be too much like this. Well,let me just focus on this day with my friend and stop thinking about him.
