I Cancel the Engagement and Level Way Up 94
Chapter 94
The wedding ceremony began.
Logan was called up to the stage by the emcee and said a few opening remarks.
After Logan went up, Diana followed him onto the stage, saying she wanted to say a few words as well.
Logan frowned slightly, irritation flickering in his eyes. But when he saw the smile on Diana’s face, he still handed her the microphone.
Diana took the microphone, cleared her throat, and began speaking with confidence, clearly enjoying being the center of attention.
Π
“First, I want to thank everyone for coming today. Before the ceremony starts, I’d like to say a few words as their parent.
“Vivian, you’re very lucky to be marrying Logan. I hope you’ll be more understanding as his wife and take good care of him. He works hard to make a living, so you’ll need to learn to keep your temper in check.”
Logan’s expression changed at once. He shot Diana a warning look.
Every word she said struck a nerve with Vivian.
He was afraid Vivian would get angry and walk out.
Diana dodged the hand Logan reached out to grab the microphone, then hurried on.
“Vivian, I already know what happened last night. Just because Logan doesn’t mind doesn’t mean I do. But if you behave and take good care of him from now on, I can still accept you as my daughter–in–law.”
Logan’s expression darkened. “Mom, what are you doing?”
Down in the audience, people lowered their heads and began whispering to each other.
They had already noticed it today. Hardly anyone from the bride’s family had attended. The seats meant for the bride’s family were all empty.
“Logan, you’ll understand after the wedding.”
As she spoke, Diana pulled out a property division agreement she had clearly prepared in
advance.

Logan snatched it away and flipped through a few pages with a cold face.
It was filled with clauses demanding Vivian give up her shares and assets.
“Today is my wedding day. Stop making trouble!” he warned.
There was no way Vivian would sign that agreement. The moment it was mentioned, she would walk away.
“I prepared this agreement because I knew today was your big day. Consider it an added surprise,” Diana said brightly. “Don’t worry. She’ll sign it.”
Everyone was guessing what had happened to Vivian the night before.
Logan looked at Diana’s confident expression, and an uneasy suspicion took shape. His expression darkened, and his chest tightened with a heavy sense of dread.
He scanned the room and didn’t see Zane anywhere. His brows knitted.
“Did Zane come to you?” Logan asked in a low voice. His brow tightened with anger,
hand at his side curled into a fist.
Diana jolted and instinctively stepped back.
There was no point in denying it anymore. She nodded slightly.
After all, she was his mother. She didn’t believe Logan would embarrass her in front of
everyone.
Logan’s chest heaved. The anger in his eyes was barely contained.
He stared at Diana, his jaw clenched tight. “You…”

Diana knew Logan would blow up, so she had already prepared her lines. She cut in quickly. ” Logan, everyone is watching. There are business partners here. Do you really want everyone to find out what happened to Vivian last night?”
