Stella hurriedly admitted her mistake. “Of course, who could possibly compete with you? This was entirely my fault. Please allow me to apologize to you here. You were gracious enough to put the past behind you and still invest in our project. We’re deeply grateful.”
Kingston didn’t dwell on the topic and simply said indifferently, “Let your results speak for you.”
Stella replied respectfully, “Yes, Mr. Howard. The Halcyon Group won’t let you down.”
She still felt as if she were dreaming. She hadn’t expected Vivian to actually bring in Kingston’s investment.
Seizing the opportunity, Stella organized a dinner and invited Kingston, who didn’t refuse.
That afternoon, Kingston had other engagements.
As he was leaving, he glanced at Vivian and said calmly, “Theo has driven your car back to the
company.”
Stella had wanted to keep Vivian behind to chat a little longer, but when she heard that, she tactfully saw both Vivian and Kingston off together.
Not long after they left, Logan drove around.
Logan had pulled many strings just to track down Kingston’s vehicle movements.
Following the information he’d obtained, he arrived at the residential complex where Kingston lived. With a bit of maneuvering, he managed to get inside smoothly.
Sloane sat in the front passenger seat, excitement barely concealed in her eyes.
She hadn’t expected that she wouldn’t even need to expend any effort to help Logan catch
Vivian with someone else.
Logan drove around irritably, searching through the underground parking garage.
In the end, Sloane spotted Kingston’s car first. “There, Logan.”
Logan stopped the car and walked over. After confirming it was the vehicle he was looking for, the anger in his eyes was impossible to hide.
He’d checked the surveillance and saw that Vivian had followed Kingston in here over an hour
ago.

Even though property management had done Logan a favor by letting him in, they refused to tell him Kingston’s exact residence, worried about being sued.
Diana hadn’t expected Vivian to really cheat on Logan. She said viciously, “The car’s still here, which means Vivian hasn’t left yet. Let’s wait here. I refuse to believe she won’t come down.
“Logan, once you’ve got evidence on her, you must force her to sign an agreement. Don’t let her have any right to interfere in the company or touch your assets anymore.”
Sloane wisely kept quiet.
With Diana leading the charge, there was no need for her to do anything at all.
The three of them parked the car in a hidden spot and waited for Vivian to come down, ready to catch her in the act.
But even when night fell, they still didn’t see anyone.
Logan’s patience was gradually wearing thin.
Sloane was starving, too, but she was unwilling to leave just like that.
Diana sat in the back seat, cursing nonstop. Every word was filled with insults toward Vivian.
This time, Logan didn’t defend Vivian.
His expression was cold, and his gaze was fixed tightly on the elevator entrance.
A few minutes later, his phone rang.
Logan quickly picked it up, but saw that it wasn’t Vivian calling.
His expression darkened as he remembered that he’d originally planned on having drinks tonight with Zane Mercer and some others. П
He said, “I’ve got something on tonight, so I won’t make it.”
On the other end, Zane’s tone was full of flattery. “We all know you’ve got serious business to handle. Logan, we just wanted to call and congratulate you. The Whitfield Group’s really taken another step forward.”
Logan frowned, and he asked in confusion, “Why?”
Zane replied, “Of course, we’re congratulating you on successfully making contact with the Howard Group. The future’s looking bright.
