Chapter 48
The driver had already made things so clear that all Vivian could do was get out of the car and
follow Kingston into the elevator.
When they reached the floor where he was staying, Kingston walked into the apartment while casually undoing the buttons of his shirt.
Once he was inside, he took off the shirt and draped it over the sofa to the side.
The lines of his back were perfectly smooth and defined. His entire body exuded an almost overwhelming masculine allure.
Vivian’s face flushed as she stared, momentarily transfixed.
Kingston suddenly stopped in his tracks, almost causing Vivian to run into him.
She halted in a hurry.
Kingston turned around to face her, bending down slightly. His voice was low, magnetic, and laced with amusement. “Ms. Hartwell, wipe that drool off your face.”
Vivian instinctively raised a hand to wipe the corner of her mouth, only to find that there was nothing there.
She was speechless for a moment.
Realizing she’d been played, her face instantly burned red.
Kingston laughed and turned to walk into the bathroom.
The driver carried some items upstairs and set them down. Then, he led Vivian to Kingston’s walk–in closet. “Ms. Hartwell, all of Mr. Howard’s everyday clothes are here. You can mix and match them as you like.”
Vivian nodded. “Alright.”
Kingston’s closet was nothing like what she had imagined. Clothes of all styles and types were neatly hung inside, with each color scheme carefully separated into its own section.
She had assumed his wardrobe would be nothing but gray and black custom–made suits.
Among all the sections, Vivian’s eyes were immediately drawn to a pink–toned area.
There was a pink shirt and white suit trousers.
She couldn’t help but wonder what Kingston would look like wearing that.

She tried to picture it, but no matter how she imagined it, the image couldn’t quite form in her
mind.
Still, with his face and physique, it would probably suit him just fine.
Kingston took only a quick rinse before coming out of the bathroom.
When he entered the closet, he saw Vivian pinching her own chin, staring thoughtfully at the pink outfit hanging there.
“Don’t even think about it!” Kingston said.
Ever since Elaine had forced that outfit into his wardrobe, he hadn’t spared it a single glance.
Hearing that, Vivian pursed her lips. “I wouldn’t dare to make you wear it, but thinking about it isn’t a crime…”
She smiled mischievously as she turned to look at Kingston. “Right?”
Kingston was bare–chested as he dried his damp hair with a towel. Water droplets slid from his temples down to his jaw, then traced their way across his defined chest muscles.
His physique was practically flawless, and paired with his strikingly handsome face, it was nothing short of perfection.
No wonder experts said women should look at muscular men more often.
Studies showed it could reduce mortality risk. Seeing pleasing visuals stimulated the brain’s reward system to release dopamine, making people feel happier.
She wasn’t being lewd. She simply appreciated perfect bodies and beautiful things.
After that bit of internal rationalization, Vivian no longer avoided his gaze. Instead, she was increasingly bold.
If he dared to come out like that, then he wasn’t afraid of being seen.
So, why shouldn’t she look?
Even if others wouldn’t, she would.
Either way, she wasn’t losing anything.
Kingston grew a little uncomfortable under her gaze and lifted the towel to cover his chest. ”
Get out.”
“Yes, Mr. Howard.” She wasn’t thick–skinned either. With her ears burning red, she walked
out of the closet.

Kingston lowered the towel and was about to change when Vivian poked her head back in
again.
He immediately grabbed the towel to shield himself once more.
“Mr. Howard, the outfit I picked for you is hanging right there…” Vivian pointed toward the
clothes hanger.
Kingston responded with a muffled voice, “I know.“
