Chapter 35
That bracelet looked exactly the same as the one Sloane showed Vivian earlier. Even the patterns were all in the same spots.
It seemed Diana had already met Sloane.
And Sloane had even given Diana this crystal bracelet, fully aware that it was fake.
A mocking smile appeared on Vivian’s lips, and her gaze turned cold.
Noticing Vivian staring at the bracelet, Diana puffed up with pride.
She said, “Isn’t it pretty? My friend’s daughter gave it to me. She was worried I wouldn’t have a single decent piece of jewelry for the wedding. She didn’t want me to be embarrassed on such a public day. That girl is so caring. If Logan weren’t with you already, I would’ve tried to set them up together.”
Vivian let out a cold laugh, but said nothing.
She didn’t tell Diana that the bracelet was a fake.
The sales assistant brought out many gold–plated silver pieces for Diana to choose from. Diana browsed them with great interest and, without even asking Vivian’s opinion, told the
sales assistant to pack them up.
Vivian simply stepped past Diana and glanced at the assistant. “Pack up the ones I chose
earlier.”
Diana snapped, “Vivian! It’s just for appearances. You…”
“Mrs. Whitfield, I know you feel bad about the money. It’s fine if you don’t want to spend your money. I’ll just have Logan come over and pay,” Vivian cut in, taking out her phone as if she were about to call Logan.
Diana immediately grabbed Vivian’s hand. “Alright, if you like them, I’ll buy them for you. Why bother Logan while he’s working?”
Reluctantly, she took out her wallet to pay.
The sales assistant took the bank card and hurried to pack up the pieces Vivian had selected. Then, she casually asked, “About the gold–plated silver pieces from earlier…”
Diana said, “I don’t want them anymore.”
The assistant nodded and picked up the gold–plated silver items.

Diana hesitated for a moment, then picked up one of the gold–plated silver bangles. “Wrap this one separately for me.”
Vivian knew exactly what Diana was thinking, but she didn’t expose
her.
It fitted them quite well. One gave a fake crystal bracelet, and the other one a fake gold
bracelet.
It was quite a fair exchange.
Vivian took her gold jewelry from the sales assistant and left the store together with Diana.
“Mrs. Whitfield, do you need me to drop you back at your friend’s place?” Vivian asked.
Even though Diana had no intention of going to Vivian’s place anyway, she was still irritated by the question. “You don’t want me to go stay with you that badly?”
Vivian smiled and didn’t offer an explanation.
Diana’s expression darkened as she said, “Even if you invited me, I wouldn’t want to go!”
With that, she left in a huff.
Vivian didn’t stop her and drove back to the townhouse.
That very night, she received a message from Sloane.
“Thank you, Vivian. Mrs. Whitfield also bought me a gold bracelet. I weighed it, and it’s 3.5 ounces. Thank you, Vivian.”
Vivian laughed in anger at the message.
Logan truly was raised by Diana. Even their way of giving gifts was exactly the same.
Sloane was really easy to please. A fake crystal bracelet and a fake gold bracelet were enough to make her head spin in delight, rushing to show off to Vivian.
If Vivian didn’t reply, wouldn’t that dampen Sloane’s excitement?
Vivian immediately typed back a message.
“No need to thank me. But you should raise your standards. After all, “low–end goods” will just affect your quality of life.”
