Chapter 100

Logan stared at Zane sprawled on the floor, along with the other men beside him who were still groaning in pain. His brows drew tight, fury burning in his eyes.

The moment he thought about how Vivian had almost been ruined by these men, the his chest surged out of control.

How could Zane do something like this?

“Zane, you’re looking for death!”

Logan stormed forward and drove a hard kick into Zane’s chest.

Zane’s breath cut off instantly. He couldn’t even make a sound, his body curling as he nearly blacked out from the pain.

The Whitfields took one look at the scene and knew this wasn’t going to end cleanly.

For Logan’s reputation and for Whitfield Group’s future interests, they started clearing the room, forcing the guests out before anyone could keep watching.

The guests were reluctant to leave, but it would’ve been embarrassing to stay for the gossip.

Sloane and Diana tried to use the chaos to slip away, only to be stopped by Victor’s men.

A trace of mockery flickered through Vivian’s eyes as she walked over to Victor and held out her hand. “Thank you for the generous gift, Mr. Shaw. I liked it.”

Victor clasped her hand. “I’m the one who should be thanking you, Ms. Hartwell.”

Vivian gave a faint smile, then lowered her gaze to Zane, curled on the floor. Her eyes turned cold, devoid of any warmth.

“Mr. Mercer, how did it feel? You picked them yourself.”

Zane could only writhe in pain. He couldn’t answer.

Vivian withdrew her gaze and looked over at Sloane and Diana.

Neither of them dared to meet her eyes.

Vivian was smiling, yet the pressure rolling off her made their skin prickle.

“You’ll remember today for a long time, Ms. Mercer. You should be grateful you’re pregnant. Otherwise, the one sent to them last night would’ve been you.”

Sloane took a step back, frightened.

“This has nothing to do with me! I didn’t do anything! It was Diana! She thought Logan cared too much about you and that you were walking all over her, so she wanted to teach you a lesson and make sure you couldn’t hold your head up in front of Logan.”

Diana’s face twisted with fury. She slapped Sloane hard across the face.

“That’s bullshit! You’re the one who egged me on and had me contact Zane! Don’t even think about pushing all the blame on me!”

Sloane wasn’t as aggressive as Diana. She covered her face and burst into tears.

“I didn’t,” she sobbed, shaking her head over and over, pitiful as a fragile flower being crushed.

Diana had a fiery temper. Seeing Sloane put on that pitiful act only made her angrier.

She stopped caring that Sloane was carrying Logan’s child and lunged at her. The two of them clawed and grappled.

Vivian smiled as she watched them yank at each other’s hair and tumble together in a messy fight.

That was even better. She didn’t have to dirty her hands at all.

Sloane had just graduated from university. She was no match for someone like Diana, who knew exactly how to fight dirty.

Logan didn’t stop them. He just stood there coldly, watching Diana hit Sloane.

Then, he walked over to Vivian, guilt and pain written all over his face. His tone soft publ

“Vivian, I was drunk last night. I drank too much and passed out. I didn’t know they’d dare set you up like this. I didn’t get to you in time. I’m sorry.”

Vivian looked at him with a cold laugh. “Sorry? You’re saying sorry to me now? It’s too late for

that.”

Logan’s expression stiffened. Regret sat heavy in his eyes. “Vivian, I really didn’t know they’d be bold enough to do something like this.“
