Divorced While Pregnant The Ex-Husband’s Collapse 72
Chapter 72
Abigail stood to the side, trembling from head to toe.
Natalie and Jeffrey had already made up? Did that mean they weren’t getting divorced anymore? Last night, they even spent the night together!
Martha grinned. “He must build up his strength! That way, you’ll be able to have an heir for the Fosters sooner, Mrs. Foster. I’ll start preparing the stew in the kitchen right away!”
Martha happily went to the kitchen, full of energy.
It wasn’t that Natalie was too weak. Abigail was simply too shameless. Of course, a mistress never had any shame.
Still holding Jeffrey’s arm, Natalie raised her voice sweetly. “Honey, I’m starving. Let’s have breakfast.”
Natalie’s voice was clear and bright. She even made herself sound sweet and coquettish. Anyone who heard her would melt.
In fact, Natalie’s voice was far more pleasant than Abigail’s.
Jeffrey stared at Natalie. He had never seen this side of her. She had always been gentle and Well–mannered. Even her soft smile would seem slightly aloof.
But right now, Natalie looked like a cunning fox. Her eyes were bright and mischievous- impossible to read.
Jeffrey had no idea what she was up to. Seemingly entranced by her, he instinctively followed her to the dining room.
Just then, he heard Abigail yell, “Jeff…”
Jeffrey finally came to his senses and stopped in his tracks,
“Oh my!” Natalie gasped, as if she had just remembered Abigail. “Ms. Wright, why are you here? Aren’t you leaving? Is there something else you need?”
Abigail gritted her teeth so hard that her jaw hurt.
Natalie was clearly asserting her dominance by humiliating her. Still, Abigail couldn’t fight back and had no choice but to swallow her pride. After all, she was in Natalie’s territory.
still
Natalie raised an eyebrow. “Ms. Wright? Don’t tell me you want to join my husband and me for
breakfast?”
With that, Natalie chuckled, half mocking, half contemptuous. “Why don’t you just eat the

breakfast in the lunchbox you’re holding? I mean, you already made it. Don’t let it go to waste.

Abigail could no longer take it. All along, it had been her bullying Natalie, yet this time, Natalie was the one keeping her in check.
“Natalie, you-”
“Mr. Finn,” Jeffrey interrupted Abigail and said in a low voice, “Please send Ab home.”
Jacob answered, “Will do, Mr. Foster.”
Of course, Abigail wasn’t willing to leave. With tears welling up in her eyes, she looked really pitiful.
Since Martha was around, Jeffrey couldn’t exactly comfort Abigail. He knew he would have to explain it to her later.
Natalie waved at Abigail, signaling for her to leave. “Bye!”
With that, she held Jeffrey’s arm, and they walked toward the dining room together. From time to time, she would look at him, whispering with a smile.
Abigail watched their retreating figures, knowing perfectly well that Natalie was provoking
her.
Finally, Natalie was no longer pretending. She was no longer acting gracious, and there was no more talk of divorce. She was using Caroline to back her up and start a full–on war with Abigail.
Abigail knew it! Natalie would never give up the position of Mrs. Foster so easily.
Alright. Very well…
No one knew who would have the last laugh in the end.
Abigail stomped her feet and left the house while fuming, her eyes filled with resentment and unwillingness.
Just as Natalie and Jeffrey were about to reach the dining room, she saw Abigail leave the house from the corner of her eye. Immediately, she let go of Jeffrey’s arm, and her smile vanished. She quickly put some distance between herself and Jeffrey.
It was as if she weren’t the same delicate woman who had been clinging to him earlier with an enchanting smile plastered across her face.
Jeffrey stared at the spot where her hand had been. He could still feel her warmth, and her fragrance still hung in the air.
“Done with your little show?” Jeffrey asked coldly. “Am I right?”

“Of course. Your precious Ab is already gone. Who else would I put on a show for? Without an audience, there’s no point.” Natalie shrugged and picked up her pace, heading to the dining room. She was really starving and wanted to have her breakfast. After all, she had to eat for three.
Suddenly, her world started to spin. By the time she came to her senses, Jeffrey already had her pinned against the wall and was holding her chin.
“I knew it. You were just trying to piss Ab off.” His warm breath fanned across her face.” Natalie, trying to assert your dominance, huh? Did that feel good?”
Natalie nodded. “It did. It felt so good. What’s the matter? Abigail gets to step all over me and bully me, but I can’t do the same to her?”
