Divorced, Upgraded, and Married Rich Chapter 71

Divorced While Pregnant The Ex-Husband’s Collapse 71

Chapter 71

糖

Abigail was rooted to the spot in shock. But that wasn’t even the most shocking part. Before Abigail could even say a word, Natalie appeared behind Jeffrey.

Natalie looked down at the damp spots on the hem of her clothes, scowling in obvious displeasure. “Jeffrey, I’ve already told you many times not to splash water all over the sink when brushing your teeth. Why can’t you get it?”

Natalie had just changed. Not only did leaning against the sink get her clothes wet, but she had also smeared them with toothpaste. It left a faint, minty smell.

“Hey, Jeffrey.” Getting no response, Natalie called out again, “I’m talking to you. Did you hear me–oh?”

Natalie lifted her gaze and finally noticed Abigail standing downstairs. In fact, Abigail looked more furious than she was.

Natalie actually spent the night at Foster Garden and even shared a bed with Jeffrey. What the hell was going on?

“Jeffrey.” Abigail’s eyes quickly clouded over. “What’s going on here?”

Abigail needed an explanation.

However, Jeffrey just pursed his lips and calmly walked downstairs.

Natalie sneered.

Martha broke the silence first. “Ms. Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Foster got out of bed and came downstairs together. Isn’t that perfectly normal? What do you mean by ‘What’s going on here? ‘Should Mr. Foster do that with you?”

She didn’t mince her words. “But wouldn’t that make you his mistress? Is that what you really want?”

Abigail turned deathly pale. She gritted her teeth, unable to strike back. She could get away with offending Natalie, but she couldn’t do the same to Caroline. If Abigail wanted to marry Jeffrey, she still needed Caroline’s approval.

Once Jeffrey was downstairs, he glanced at Martha. “Watch what you say.”

No matter what, Jeffrey was still the head of the Foster family. Even with Caroline’s support, Martha couldn’t go too far.

Martha lowered her head in silence.

Then, they heard Natalie chuckle. “I think Martha said it perfectly. Where exactly did she mess

up?”

Natalie wasn’t a pushover or some naive fool. She certainly wasn’t someone who could be manipulated.

Jeffrey stood up for Abigail, which meant Natalie could do the same for Martha.

“Ms. Wright, you definitely went too far. I think you’re being a little clingy.”

Natalie glanced at the lunchbox Abigail was holding. “If you’re really that bored, why don’t you get a job? You actually spent time making breakfast for someone else’s husband… You even brought it here yourself.”

Martha’s eyes lit up. Natalie wasn’t as weak or useless as she had imagined.

Martha quickly added, “Exactly. She’s like a simp.”

Natalie couldn’t help but snort in laughter. “Martha, you even know the word ‘simp?“”

“I use the internet too, Mrs. Foster. I know a lot of the slang you young people use.”

Abigail’s pale face flushed red, yet she couldn’t lash out. She gazed at Jeffrey, feeling wronged. Her eyes trembled, making her seem weak and helpless.

Jeffrey scowled. He was about to say something when he suddenly felt someone grip his arm. Natalie had leaned over and hooked her arm with his.

“Honey,” Natalie said teasingly. “You must be exhausted after last night. You worked hard. Let me massage your shoulders.”

Jeffrey stared at their linked arms, wondering what Natalie was up to this time. All of a

sudden, she was acting all soft and clingy–like the perfect wife.

Natalie asked Martha, “Where’s the stew you made? Is it ready? Get my husband a bowl too. He needs to regain his strength.”

“Will do, Mrs. Foster,” Martha answered. “Next time… Oh, no. From now on, I’ll make two kinds of stew–one to boost your energy and improve your complexion, and one for Mr. Foster. I’ll add some venison and lamb to his soup to give him extra strength!”

Natalie blushed shyly. “My husband’s strong enough. I don’t think I can handle any more.”
