Divorced, Upgraded, and Married Rich Chapter 60

Divorced While Pregnant The Ex-Husband’s Collapse 60

Stacy smacked two loud kisses onto Natalie’s cheeks.

Meanwhile, Natalie remained frozen in place.

“Why do you look so spaced out? Aren’t you happy to see me?” Stacy asked. Then, she sighed. ” It looks like two years apart really does make people grow distant. Even friends who grew up together can’t stand the test of time.‘

Natalie blinked, taking a long while to come back to her senses. She asked, “Stacy, when did you graduate? When did you come back? And you and Mr. Wagner… What’s your relationship with him?”

Natalie and Stacy were childhood friends. Their families lived right next door to each other, and the two girls had been inseparable since they were barely able to speak.

When Natalie married Jeffrey, Stacy had even been her bridesmaid.

But the two of them had chosen completely different paths in life. Natalie got married right after graduation and became a full–time housewife. On the other hand, Stacy pursued her studies, even going for her doctorate.

For the past two years, Stacy had been studying abroad and rarely returned home. Natalie never expected to see her at Daniel’s welcome dinner. It was a truly incredible surprise.

Stacy laughed and said, “Come on, let me introduce you.”

She pulled Natalie over to Daniel. “Nat, this is

this is my godfather.”

Then, Stacy turned to Daniel. “Daniel, this is Nat, the best friend I’m always telling you about.”

Daniel smiled warmly. “I recognized you at the airport. You’re even more lively and elegant in person than in the photos.”

Stacy beamed. “Of course! Nat was the most beautiful girl back in school. Almost every boy in school had a crush on her! Daniel, anything to do with Nat is my business. So, about her newly opened gallery…”

Stacy clung to his arm and put on a cute expression. “You have to help her stand out and draw a crowd.”

“If you put it that way, how can I refuse?” Daniel spread his hands out.

He said, “I actually do plan to develop my career in Caspia City this year. The climate here is pleasant, and the place is rich in culture. Many of my old friends have already settled here too.”

Natalie had momentarily forgotten to blink. She remained dazed for a long time.

She’d been racking her brain, thinking about how to convince and persuade Daniel. She’d been prepared to give it everything she had to earn his approval.

And yet, Stacy settled it in just two sentences.

Still… How had she never heard Stacy mention having a godfather before? And it wasn’t just anyone. It was the renowned painter, Daniel.

Stacy nudged Natalie with her shoulder. “Did you hear that? Stop zoning out. Hurry up and thank my godfather.”

“Right!” Natalie snapped back to attention.

She said, “Thank you, Mr. Wagner, and welcome to Caspia City. From now on, Dream Gallery will reserve a dedicated studio just for you. You can come anytime.”

Daniel nodded, then asked, “Stacy says you used to paint as well?”

“Yes, I’ve been painting since I was young. That’s why I wanted to open a gallery. But talking about painting in front of you seems completely out of place.”

The moment Stacy heard that, her eyes lit up. “Daniel, you’ve never taken an apprentice, right? How about you check out Nat’s talent for yourself and consider taking her as your apprentice?”

Daniel pointed at her. “Only you would push your luck like this.”

“How is that pushing my luck? I’m just thinking of you, Daniel,” Stacy said.

She was incredibly animated. “If you settle in Caspia City, Nat and I will be around. You won’t have to worry about your later years at all. Besides, you’ve got all these priceless skills. Won’t it be great if you could pass them on to someone who truly loves painting? You’ll be killing two birds with one stone!”

Daniel asked, “Even if I were to agree to take in an apprentice, would she even be willing?” Stacy answered instantly, “Yes! A thousand times, yes!”
