Divorced, Upgraded, and Married Rich Chapter 44

Divorced While Pregnant The Ex-Husband’s Collapse 44

Chapter 44

Stephen truly was a devil incarnate. Of all the people he could’ve provoked, how did he end up picking a fight with someone from the Wright family?

That man was Abigail’s cousin, Felix Wright.

Felix worked at their family’s company. He possessed some ability and knew how to play the game, so he quickly climbed the ranks and became a general manager.

The Wright family could practically be summed up as Abigail making it big, and the whole family riding on her coattails.

But still, Felix and Stephen were not connected at all. They had no business dealings or any personal relationships with each other. So, how did they end up fighting?

Felix’s head was utterly swollen, with one eye badly bruised. It was obvious that he’d lost the fight badly.

He said through clenched teeth, “You picked the perfect time to show up, Natalie. Let me tell you right now-this isn’t over. Forget compensation or emotional damages, I’m going to press charges against Stephen for assault! If he doesn’t end up in jail, I’ll change my name!”

Originally, Natalie had planned to immediately apologize, take responsibility for the medical bills, and smooth things over with a good attitude.

But she’d run straight into a member of the Wright family. Now, it was blown completely out of proportion.

Over the years, the Wright family had benefited plenty from Abigail, so all of them were her staunch supporters.

Besides, the Wright family had never liked Natalie. If it weren’t for her, Abigail would have already become Jeffrey’s wife. The Wright family would be even wealthier and more powerful by now.

So, this situation was incredibly troublesome.

Before Natalie could speak, Stephen staggered to his feet, pointing straight at Felix. “Not over? Yeah, it’s not over between us! Damn it! Everything that comes out of your mouth stinks of shit. Do you really think you’re something special now?”

His finger was practically poking Felix in the face. “Have you forgotten what you really are after being rich for a few years? Do you think you’ve secured a spot in high society?

“Back when I was living the high life, you were just breaking your back in some ditch! Now, you’re acting so smug just because of that mistress cousin of yours!”

Felix refused to back down and shot back, “Look at you. Your parents gave birth to you but never bothered to raise you. The illustrious Bennett family of Caspia City managed to produce trash like you after three generations of prestige?

“You’ve squandered the family fortune, so what right do you have to act tough? Right, I almost forgot. Your parents died in a car accident years ago. I guess it’s true that they never taught you anything.”

Stephen exploded with rage, looking like he wanted to kill someone as he swung his fist straight at Felix. “I’ll beat you to death today, you stupid piece of shit!”

The officer immediately stepped in, pulling the two apart. “What are you doing? Are you really trying to fight at the police station? Haven’t you had enough?”

Stephen was acting completely crazy. “Let go of me! I’m going to teach him a proper lesson! Who does he think he is?”

Felix wasn’t about to stay quiet, either. He shouted back, “Come on! Let’s go for another round! I only lost earlier because you sucker-punched me!”

The room erupted into chaos. It was so noisy that Natalie’s head started to ache.

again.

Stephen thrashed violently, and the handcuffs clanked loudly.

Felix was about to say more when Natalie lifted her chin and looked straight at him. “You should stop, too. Just because you lost and got hurt doesn’t mean you’re automatically in the right. Let me first understand exactly what happened.”

No matter how reckless Stephen was, he still knew his limits. How could he have gotten furious enough to beat Felix up so brutally?
