Chapter 32

“How disrespectful…” Scarlet wailed, slapping her thigh. “How dare you curse me?”

Natalie glanced at the time on the phone and said coldly, “Five minutes left, and all this evidence you tore up will be exposed immediately. The news that the CEO of Payne Holdings is divorcing me will become the top headline.”

She then fixed her gaze on Rowan. “If you want to shamelessly be with Imogen, then I’ll give you my blessing. If you don’t sign now, your cooperation with Mr. Morris will fall through.”

“Do you know the consequences of scheming against me, Natalie?” Rowan demanded. He found everything about Natalie unbearably ugly and revolting now.

“Getting you kicked out of your position as CEO of Payne Holdings.” Natalie raised her eyebrows at him in blatant provocation.

Rowan forced himself to suppress his anger and said coldly, “I can agree to everything else, but what right do you have to take custody of the children? Even if this goes to court, you’re a woman with no job and no income. The judge would never let you raise them.”

“That’s none of your concern,” Natalie replied and took out an employment offer.

“Wait, you found a job?” Rowan reached out to grab the document, but Natalie quickly pulled it back.

He didn’t catch the specific details, but his gaze swept over the word “Lumiere”. That should be Lumiere Fashion. How could a large listed corporation like that possibly be willing to hire a housewife who hadn’t worked in seven years?

“Mr. Payne, the meeting room is waiting for you,” his assistant reported.

“Rowan, just divorce her. 100 million is nothing. Just treat it like you’re doing some charity. As long as the two of us are together, I’ll definitely help you earn much more than that,” Imogen coaxed Rowan sweetly, holding his hand.

Most of Payne Holding’s liquid funds had already been invested in the children’s wear project. If Rowan took out another 100 million for Natalie, the company would be under serious strain.

Imogen shot Scarlet a look

“Rowan, the company’s interests come first, and Imogen is the most suitable partner for you,” Scarlet chimed in to support Imogen.

Imogen then pressed the pen into Rowan’s hand.

It wasn’t that Rowan didn’t want a divorce; his pride just couldn’t stand to allow Natalie to force his hand like this.

In the end, he compromised and signed the divorce agreement.

As he signed his name in the section on child custody, he said coldly, “Even if I let you take the kids, can you really raise them? Sarah and Roger won’t be willing to go with you either.”

“That’s right,” Scarlet said. “The Payne family will absolutely not hand Roger over to you.”

“We can ask the children what they want,” Natalie said. She knew Roger definitely wouldn’t go with her, but Sarah would definitely choose to live with her.

In the end, Natalie walked away with the divorce agreement, a 100 million check, and the villa in the southern district.

They agreed to pick up the children together after school that afternoon and discuss custody.

John was a very cautious man. He had waited in the conference room with the Morris Group’s team for nearly an hour, so he had already grown disappointed in Rowan. In the end, he didn’t sign a contract with Rowan and merely gave him a chance to compete with other companies later.

As the end of the school day approached, Natalie was already waiting at the gate. She hadn’t seen Sarah for several days and didn’t know how her precious daughter was doing.

“Mommy!” Sarah walked out of the school with her teacher and classmates, spotting Natalie at first glance.

Natalie used to wait for Sarah at that very spot, so she always searched for Natalie there.

Scarlet rushed ahead of Natalie and forcibly grabbed hold of Sarah.
